Wished the NA release had Rondo of Blood, but it has Lords of Thunder, so at least that will have the cool soundtrack.

These mini consoles never have many games while there is an Official Sega Genesis collection with like a hundred games.

Most of Neo Geo Acade Games have been ported for PS1 and PS2.

These mini consoles are basically just collector Items you play a few times and that's it.

I realize that, but my point still stands.

However, loved Europe version rather than ugly America version.

The european version is the same as the american one. The japanese version was imported and modified to work in europe though.

wasn't the pc engine really small to begin with?

Yes, but the turbo grafx 16 was really big. Besides, everyone knows that mini means it's an arm based emulator with internal flash.

weren't they basically the same system with a different shell and a slight internal rework, i remember hearing something about that
and i don't really know how you'd get something that's already really small and make it smaller, from what i remember it's already the same size as a ps1 classic or something

Really ? Take a look at blue print and the price in Pound in black label:

Yes, those were grey imports from Japan. You could buy those in america as well.

When they officially launched PAL versions and rolled out in the US they were both Turbo Grafx 16 in a larger case.

The PAL version was odd, they didn't do a 50hz version of the graphics chip & instead added an extra chip which underclocked the graphics chip outside of the playfield and took over generating horizontal sync. I think there is a patent for that.

There was a lot of empty space in the turbo grafx 16 (they followed nintendo's lead when the famicom became the nes), the major difference was they swapped some pins on the cartridge port to make them incompatible. The PAL version of the TG16 also had an extra chip to do the 60hz to 50hz conversion.

I'm sure they could have made the ps1 classic motherboard much smaller, it appears to waste a lot of space just so it can get the connectors in the correct place for the case.

I think this guy did a much smaller Pi 3 case, but I find him unwatchable because of all the padding in the video.
