Homebrew How to - My First Wii U Homebrew?

Hi, I've had a Wii with Homebrew channel for a while. Lots of Retro games and Wii games on an External HDD. I'm looking into Homebrew my first Wii U. I have the instructions and it looks easy. I would like to check here for the newest way to install Homebrew Browser and App Store. Also, can I play GC/Wii games from a USB? What about videos? I never got videos working on my Wii with WiiMC and MPlayer. I would like to try on the Wii U. (It's 1080p?) Can I get a quick list of what emulators are available? From the App store? I haven't bought my Wii U yet. Please reply with info. Thanks

Wii U looks complicated. I'd like to use Haxchi. I already found the easy way (Jack Sorrell) on youtube. That's what I was going to use. Before I started this thread. I'd still like to know if there's a Video player on Wii U? I found everyone says no but I did find "geexbox" which is for Wii but might work on Wii U. I'll continue reading your links. Thanks again

I don't believe we currently have a video player that runs natively on the Wii U. I've never heard of Geexbox but if it works on the Wii then it should also work in the Wii U's virtual Wii mode.
