Hi there! I have some questions regarding CFW with a new game.
So I have a Switch on 5.0.2 running CFW that never goes online. I installed the CFW using the switch.homebrew.guide site tutorial. I've made a nand and boot backup before running any kind of homebrew.
Ok my question is this: I've bought a cartridge with Stardew Valley, and when I try to play it, the game tells me I need to upgrade the system. What should I do so I can play this game? I've read 2 different ways of solving this: either upgrade using ChoiDujourNX to have newer firmware without burning the fuses or install the XCI taken the cartridge using GoldLeaf.
What do you guys and gals think is the best way to do this?
If I go the ChoiDujourNX way, how can I know what version FW my Switch needs to run the game?
If I GoldLeaf it, where can I learn more about it? I hadn't heard about this method until right now.
Also, If i ever want to go back to the light side of the force, should I just restore those backups to the Switch? If I played my other games on the console while on CFW, will there be any sort of trace on the system?
And the last question: Is there a place where I can read more about writting homebrew for the Switch?
Thanks!
