ldn_mitm - Play local wireless supported games online

upload_2018-12-7_13-51-15.png

Whether lurking on an older firmware, banned from online activities, or unwilling to fork out for Nintendo's Switch Online, a lot of us find ourselves stuck in the void of single-player gaming. The release of switch-lan-play opened doors previously closed, allowing us to play a select list of games online regardless of bans and subscriptions. Taking another step forwards, we have ldn_mitm: a custom kip to break the final chains, to allow almost every game supporting local wireless to be enjoyed online.

Requirements:
  1. Atmosphère 0.8.0+ SXOS 2.5 Beta+
  2. switch-lan-play (setup guide)
  3. ldn_mitm
How to Use (Atmosphere):
  1. Download the zip from the release pages.
  2. Extract the zip to your sd card,
  3. Boot up Atmosphere with fusee primary.bin
  4. Start your game of choice, and select local wireless play
  5. (Optional) Use official Switch-lan-play discord to match make and find other players,

How to Use (SXOS):
  1. Download the latest SXOS. Here
  2. Go to SX Menu then to options.
  3. Enable ldn_mitm,
  4. Go in-game and select the Wireless Play Option (If you see an L in your WiFi bars that means that the kip did not load and that you need to reboot)
You can find a list of currently tested games here.

It is recommended to only use ldn_mitm and lan-play.exe from their official releases, third-party apps and homebrew are not supported.

What do SX OS users do. If you enable the online option in the SX menu, load smash & go to the local wireless & it gives an error?

Try again later?

Or maybe check you have the network configuration right.

What's probably happening is that too many people are playing that game. Try with a different game to see what happens.

Thanks! Was told, apparently they never updated the local wireless KIP? So smash for SX users, is the only game that doesn't work with. For SX users at least.

You tried with latest SXOS beta to, but still same error?

Yup! Tried as soon as i saw they dropped a new update. Still same thing. Local wireless works IF i don't turn on the option in the SX options menu, but with it on i always get the same error.

Yeah, I was told by someone that SX guys need to update something still. On there end at least so that smash will work. Cause apparently other games work using SX & the local wireless feature. Just not smash.

Ok so. I wanna say I have everything right.

I'm using Atmosphere 0.8.8 FW: 0.7.1, booting CFW with the Fusee_Primary. I'm using a fresh install just cause.

I made a "kips" folder under my atmosphere folder, it sits next to kips_patches. I placed the ldn_mitmv1.2.3 under my new kips folder.

I also placed the contents of the zip in its correct places.

My internet settings and Lan program are all perfect.

Now if i got to Local Wireless in Smash. I'm using 3.0.0 so it should work. How can i tell I'm all setup? Is there a way to tell that kips is working. Under the .nro it says it's on.

Hello everyone, I may need some help.
I toggled the ldn_mitm option on Hekate Toolbox, asked me to restart, and now I think it's bricked cus I can't get past the Nintendo Switch splash screen.
I'm using EmuMMC so Sysnand still works fine.

so far I have replaced the atmosphere, bootloader, config and switch folders to see if it fixes, but nothing so far.
Could anyone please tell me what to do now?

Wierd, i unzip to sd but when launching atm (Atm 0.94, horizon 9.01, sysclk), it crashes before main menu:
Error code: 2003-0008 (0x1003)
Title: 010000000000100C
I erase the zip files and everything alright again so it might be this kip.

Any ideas? ty guys
