Hacking Skyward sword won't load on any of my USB loaders.

I've tried every fix I could find. The game shows up and I can mess with the settings. I watched the motion+ video and everything. When I try to load the game, however, the screen just goes black and my Wii remote cuts off. I've been trying to fix this for the past 2 days. Someone please help me out.

I haven't tried any other games yet. The only one I wanted to try was skyward sword when I homebrewed my wii

Are you using a usb hard drive or thumb drive?

did you install the game to usb harddrive using wiibackupmanager? thumb drives do not work, if that is what you are using it wont work

Thumb drives don't work? Well there is my problem then. Too broke to afford a real hdd so I thought I could get away with using one of my spare thumb drives

I've used a thumb drive to run backups on wii before. It wsa only an 8gb stick though. I guess I could be misremembering though. Also make sure your drive is formatted correctly

Another thing I forgot to mention is that the game loaded at first but froze at the file select screen after I tried a million "fixes" haven't gotten it to work since tho

Does ntfs format work? Or does it have to be fat32?

fat32 is best, if you use wiibackupmanager it has a tools section that has a fat32 formatting feature

yes, but there are only a few games for wii that are over 4gb, and wiibackupmanager automatically does that

A thumb drive generally works fine, but its lifespan is going to be relatively short. It needs to be formatted as FAT32, and if a game is more than 4GB, it will need to be split up using something like Wii Backup Manager. Splitting up a game bigger than 4GB will not affect performance.

Ok that was my main issue. I was worried that performance would be affected

Also quick note when I tried putting the syscheck file into my apps folder and putting it in the Wii, homebrew decided it wouldn't show any apps

Fix for this as well?
