Hacking USB Loader crashes back to homebrew menu. Followed all steps correctly (I think)

Hey everyone. I just tried downloading USB Loader GX onto Homebrew Channel and it won't load games. I know everyone has had this issue but I can't seem to fix it. I've followed every step in a thread Cyan posted in 2015, but it doesn't work for me.

I am on homebrew version 1.1.2, I am on an original Wii, not a vWii and downloaded the correct d2x custom IOS (v8 dsx-v8-final).

Can someone help? Thanks.

For you and all that want to help you it is a good idea,to get your System Info first.
Please be so kind an post your Syscheck (@Cyan has the Tutorial Link in his signature ).
But here for easier search (i have take it from Cyan):

Only to get sure all is ok on your Wii.

Thank you for the reply, but I just got it fixed! It turns out putting the hard drive the other usb slot fixes it haha. Appreciate it anyway!

Alright, it spins and reads the disc now but I'm trying to use a burned PS1 game and after I swap it in with my dummy PS1 disc at the PS1 startup screen, it just stays there.

FIRST you can try please an extern USB HDD to get sure it is not an USB Device problem.
If that fails too,you can update your Wii Softmod with ModMii please.

No because I don't have any disks on me at the moment but I tried the information here and at least one Wii game seems to be working now: Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn.

- maybe as supposed your USB Drive is the cause
- maybe the settings in USBLoader GX has to adusted to your Wii Softmod (cIOS/IOS)
- as @FancyNintendoGamer567 mentioned an issue with an missing cIOS.Did you install all 40 Files from the ModMii Update suggestion ?

The Loader and Game IOS is set to 249 in USB Loader GX. I think I downloaded the 40 files from ModMii and then put it all on my SD card. Was that all I was supposed to do?

You have to install it with an wad manager like YAWMM (YetAnotherWadManagerMod).
ModMii has downloaded it for you and it should appear in the Homebrew Channel.
If not you can download it with ModMii under "Download Page 2" and "Wii Apps".

With this you can install the downloaded wad files (should be located on your SD Card in the Folder WAD).
