Hacking Mario Kart 7 mushroom cup crash

So I was 100%ing MK7 and have to do the boring 50cc races, and this happened. The game always crash at some point in Shy Guy Bazaar. What exactly happened?

I installed it as a CIA (from a cartridge dump) on Luma 9.1.

Back up the save + extdata in Checkpoint/JKSM before reinstalling the game.
