How do you start a game? I can only get to the difficulty select screen and no button will advance the game.

Are you sure you placed the .pak files from HL1 and its mods to the required folder ?

I dont see any PAK files in my HL1 folders only WAds....is that normal?

He might be confusing HL with Quake. HL did use pak files at some point in time, but I think Valve got rid of them. You have to copy your entire valve folder to sdmc:/xash3d (note that it's not in the switch folder, it's on the root) like it says in the OP.

Technically, Valve *DID* get rid of them, but older releases of HL1 (WON) used .pak files to store the whole game (or at least, a very large chunk of it). That's why I did write that (my bad if you're using the latest steam update)

I copied it all over again and for some reason it works now.

Also, what other fgsfds' apps have you updated?
I'm looking for all of his Doom and Quake apps, but I'm not sure which ones have been updated yet.

Forgot that I was maintaining this thread.

Version 1.0.1 released

• Update libnx so hid will work on 9.0.0+

This release is compiled with the latest libnx, ensuring that the controls will remain compatible with fw 9.0 and above once Atmosphere removed the temporary fix.
