Hacking Question Error code 2168-0002 when i try to boot with EmuNAND (SX OS newest beta)

I was trying to play a backup of Super Mario Odyssey downloaded from (can't say link, sorry), so when i went into the album and pressed it, it of course wanted an update, so i made a NAND backup and moved it to my computer. After that i backed up my SD card to my computer, and went with the "Install EmuNAND as hidden blablabla" in SXOS. So i went in and booted up my CFW with the latest software update 8.0.1 downloaded from https://darthsternie.net/switch-firmwares/ (yes i have checked that the md5 hash on it is correct) on the sd card, and ChoiDujourNX 1.0.1. I ran choi dujour, and selected the 8.0.1 firmware i wanted my EmuNAND to be on. I installed as 8.0.1 exFAt, with no problems. But when i rebooted it afterwards, it showed the nintendo logo, then the switch logo, but then it said something like "an error has occured 2168-0002", and it kept doing this no matter how many times i rebooted. People say it's a problem with the so called nsp files, but i don't have any of those at all. I also tried moving stuff out of the switch folder, since some people claimed that that would work, but it didn't for me. Is it a problem with the XCI file? i have no idea... I've given links to the stuff i've downloaded, don't know if that information is of any help.

Practical information: My nintendo is on firmware version 7.0.0, i just bought it back in february, and didn't know that sxos didn't support it back then. With the new beta, they now do, but does EmuNAND also work, and even with updating to 8.0.1? It is an XAJ4003, so it has not been patched.

I know it is not a fake, it's a samsung card, and it's bought in an official store.
About what might be the issue, the ChoiDujoure said something about hekate and that something would only boot with it and made a hekate-ipl.ini file or something. I don't even know what hekate is...

try format the microsd and only put boot.dat and license.dat on it and see if you still get the error

Here's an idea. Why not go ask on TXs forum. After all, it is their product that you are needing support for.

not that ive bothered installing emunand because its pointless, but to get this right, youve just admitted using 2 tools to install emunand?

if your getting an error on boot then its nothing to do with your nsp files as your not trying to boot them, it would suggest you have a corrupted set up.

restore your nand before you installed emunand and confirm if your switch boots.

if it does, next time choose one tool only to install emunand (tho its not needed as such as if you install a firmware update and forget about your nand firmware been lower, if you revert back to your nand and the fuse count wont match and wont boot.)

emunand serves no purpose as such unlike the 3ds, its rather simple keep your switch off nintendo servers and enable stealth mode within sx os and your safe.

if at a later date you wish to sell, simply wipe the console thus deleting everything and nintendo will be non the wiser what you got up to.

I don't know what you mean about admitting to use two tools to install EmuNAND. The reason i want EmuNAND, is so that i can play backup roms on the newest version, without changing the actual firmware of the switch, cause SX OS isn't compatible with the latest version, but when i try to run Super Mario Odyssey, it says i need to update my firmware. What's the point in having a modded console, if you can't play backups on it? Homebrew might be an answer to that, but i don't think the homebrew made for the switch is as good as the homebrew there was for say the DS.

SX does support latest (8.0.1) fw. It caught up with Atmosphere again.
If you don’t need to go online you can skip emunand and just hack stsnand (after making a backup and enabling autorcm + auto nogc).

ok thanks for the info. I have a few questions though. What is stsnand? and what do you mean by making a backup, do you mean a NAND backup? i already have one of those. I have autoRCM enabled, but what is Auto nogc, that's not an option in the sxos boot menu thing?

The problem is that you created the emunand in Hidden partition , create ir again in the micro sd card , but not on a HIDDEN partition .

why is that a problem may i ask? The guide i followed reccomended it and it also says inside sx os that they recommend it. I know it wipes your sd card, that's why i put back the files after...

Yeap is what I read as well , and after reading many issues te problem resides with different errors after the hidden partition is created , try on a non partition creation and you will see how the issues will be gone. Good luck

have the same problem.. for my safty,ive made a "backup" of my SD (core)files ,before updating my SDfiles with Hbapp.. ..after the update, i has the same error..no matter what ive changed later or "deleted" again.. but, then, restored my old SDbackup,and it worked again like before.
((in detail,i think its one of the "new" .kip files in atmo/sept/reiNx/other loads..folders,that occu this error. bcs you cant boot it. so it needs to be a file,that is important to boot..))

do what exactly? i have nothing installed, just the basic Boot.dat and license.dat when i launch it. The minimum ammount of files.

Stsnand -> sysnand (typo on the phone, sorry)

Nogc prevents the firmware in game cart controller to be updated by turning the controller off. Usual tools (don’t know SX, only Atmosphere, Hekate) have now the auto nogc feature which turns game cart off, if the phases burnt are from a lower firmware and your current one would overwrite the firmware in gc and so prevent a proper return to backed up older Switch firmware.
