I honestly doubt that the next gen is the last generation.

You have had people saying that every generation. Although tbh this is the generation it is most plausible so far. It really depends how the whole streaming from the cloud thing goes. If as expected it crashes and burns things will carry on as usual. If it takes off, they'd be stupid to release expensive hardware.

i didn't say the last generation, i said the last generation as we know of it now. Sony is already bringing exclusives to pc through their streaming service. 3th party developers who used to be console exclusive are bringing their games to pc now and more and more will follow. The generation after the next one will primarily be computer boxes or streaming boxes

Is this through the Windows Store? 80% of the time My PC is running WITHOUT explorer.exe being active. Windows Store apps require explorer.exe to be running and since I treat my PC like a Steam game console (the machine boots directly into Big Picture Mode), for the most part I've given up on Windows Store games. I should probably wait for the Steam ports of Microsoft games.

Let me clarify, I meant I doubt the next gen is the last generation for tradition consoles. Would streaming become more prevalent? Probably. Would tradition consoles just disappear after the next gen and just become streaming boxes? Oh a gut feeling, I'm going to have to say no.

I feel like double checking to make sure there's no catch. So basically $1 for first month followed by $5 afterwards for the Xbox PC Pass. No need for Xbox Gold? Would like to try this as soon as possible but I have a feeling that my PC specs will be screaming.

Some people don't want to run Windows 10 on their PCs.

Do I what and several Linux users have done: buy used parts to build a gaming-only Windows PC. Still is a headache at times. :/

Edit - Ignore my misunderstanding of how much just Xbox Game Pass for PC will cost.

Great selection of games at a very aggressive price: Google, take note! ;) The [exclusive] games portfolio is still really lacking of course, but apart from that MS have been absolutely killing it in recent years...

https://www.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-game-pass

Quite down. :o beta price

$9.99

$4.99/mo.

(Beta price)

It's no claim if it s written on the official page :s
Yeah that is quite hidden, thanks for that. If it was 10 for both xbox one and pc like it used to be then it would be fine but still 2 expensive for my taste but yeah gonna cancel again when it turns to 10 euro. Already have enough subscriptions running as it is

This sounds great! Honestly awesome! Sadly I already have an even cheaper gamepass, is called thepiratebay pass, it's pretty good.

But seriously, even if you are a pirate, this is awesome, because you save all the hassle and crap of hacking and cracking and downloading games. And at that price, maybe even I would have to go against my Pirate swore of allegiance :)
