Hey there. New Forum user here. Having some trouble with nds forwarders. I've been using the same Forwarder3-DS program for a while to play nds roms from my home screen. Each time I create a cia for an nds game, it is 1,390 kb exactly. after spending some time away from the program, I attempted to forward super mario 64 ds and resident evil deadly silence, both the usa versions. For some reason, the exported cias are way smaller than all the others i've made. These two are 299kb and 285kb respectively. When I attempt to run the games, I get an error message. start failed error 1 sd card template not found. Why are my cias so small and what do I do to fix this?

I'm not trying to directly convert them. I have TWLoader installed, and im simply making shortcuts on my home screen to those nds files. The shortcuts are cias.

What? The shortcuts are icons on your homescreen. TWLoader is now TwilightMenu

ohhhhhhhh. ok. I get it now. I thought twilight menu was a TOTALLY different program. That makes sense. thank you.

Greetings, all. I'm having a problem with NTR CFW, one that started after this latest update. I posted in another thread about it, but I got one question--my answer to which going unanswered, itself--and then nothing else. If I only need to wait longer, I'm perfectly fine with that...as long as help is indeed coming my way. If not, could anyone direct me to a place where I can get help for this problem?

The following is the text from that thread:

Greetings, all. I've got a problem with NTR CFW, and I was hoping someone could help me out with it. I updated my n3DS to 11.10.0-43, and ran into the unknown firmware issue. I replaced it with the latest version, 2.12, and that was solved...only to be replaced with a new problem. (BTW, my Luma3DS is updated to the latest version, as well.)

Now, whenever I start a game after selecting an NTR version, the 3DS crashes. If it helps, it reports the following:
Processor: ARM11 (core 1)
Exception type: data abort
Fault status: Translation - Section
Current Process: pm (0000000000000000)

Help or pointing me in the right direction would be much appreciated.

Question: if I dump my own cartridge and turn it into a .cia for my own use, is it (1.) legal, (2.) safe to use online (Smash Bros or Pokemon for example), and (3.) compatible with the save data transfer tool?

Also, is it still safe to use online if it isn't mine? (PSMD specifically if it matters)

It's all three, because you're basically installing the digital version.

Alright. And is using it locked to earlier 3DS versions? Like I know Gateway requires you to be at, like, 7.x or earlier. Does installing the CIA have that issue?

No. As I said, you're basically installing the digital version.

Ok I want to say thanks to everyone for there help.. I followed the guide ( Seedminer )was givin and bam she works great. My next question is there any other app, programs homebrew I should look at doing?

You should never show the game you're playing in the friends list or enable the sharing of usage data. Oh, and don't set your favourite title to a homebrew tool. If in doubt, just set favourite title as none.

You should never cheat online. Thats pretty all. And the thing with sharing data what alivebacon wrote.
