Hacking Nsps update fine when I have never linked Nintendo account

So I bought a second switch, never been hacked, hacked it with Kosmos/Sept, used Choijdour to update to 8.01 and then removed the original owners account and added mine.

BUT I never linked it when prompted, Now all my NSPs update when connected Online perfectly - I have no interest in linking the account or playing Online but thought it might be useful for someone who wants all the NSP updates without hassling with hunting them down

Most likely you will only be able to do this once then get a console ban. Account bans are a little more rare.

Probably won't be worth it to most users, best not to ever connect to nintendo servers using cfw or nsps as eventually you will get banned

A ban will happen and your ability to update NSP will end. There're collections that include the latest update online you know. Having a linked account on the Switch gives you an advantage since some games require one like MK11 with its latest updates. Soon when you realized you got banned, you're back to hunting for the latest updates

I just made a new account and used everything until I got banned, by not going online I may as well been banned anyway. However this was before emunand, you might be able to use that to avoid a ban.

No surprisingly I’m not weird but if does get ban careless. But funny part is yesterday I put 200gn sd and move my files and I had a game problem won’t start but I had to del it and reinstall them Now I figured out why I couldn’t go to the Internet is because you have to start paying to go on But store up and u can download free ones but online play needs to be paid idk weird

So is this Console Ban mean that Nintendo can brick my Switch? or is this just a ban from the eShop and Online? If its just eShop etc I am not bothered

It's both. Some games like Assassin creed will require online to unlock different outfits. Dumbasses question everywhere on the internet how to bypass and acquire the outfit. Only way is save editing

I'm doing updates on xci, nsp and also converted/installed xci since sxos came out, recently I switched to kosmos/atmosphere where I also do updates via Nintendo now and then.
No ban yet, and since I'm not gonna pay for N's online service I don't mind if it happens but as I said, I use this "technique" now for a year and other people do so too.

That's not an advice at all to be careless, just don't believe people who pretend to know how Nintendo bans

same here iv been doing this on reinx and now im on the atlasnx doing the same lol

For me it started out with xci´s, i mounted all my games one after another so i had the entries with the missing cartrige symbol, then i rebooted to original fw and did the updates via Nintendo cause i believe they can´t ban you just because you have the entry of a game you maybe borrowed once etc
The longer i did this the less i cared about N´s online services so i did the updates right out of sxos, after that i started to do updates on installed nsp´s and that´s pretty much it. Never started a game while not in airplane mode or stealth/dns, i just did my updates and neither my switch nor my account got banned so far but i´ll let you know if it happens

best thing for you if you want to play online you can use this SuperLanPlay https://gbatemp.net/threads/super-lan-play.522836/ or buy a used one for ebay or whatever place you get it from two best ways for now intell someone makes a patch for online with anti-ban and anti-cheat

Hard to believe no ban for NSP installed as it has been reported to be the main reason why people got banned in the first place. I know XCI are safe and can be updated but I don't see proof of no ban. I only see people claiming they're not banned with no video proof

I can say I've installed NSP, play them online and no ban for whatever days, weeks, months or years I have been doing it for. I've used emulators and I also cleared logs and no ban. But without video proof, my claims don't matter and it's nothing but just words
