Ghostbusters: The Video Game to get remastered for Switch, PS4, XB1, and PC

Ghostbusters: The Video Game is coming back to life on current generation platforms, as announced by Mad Dog Games. The 2009 game, which released for seventh gen consoles and the PlayStation 2 will be seeing a remaster on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC (Epic Games exclusive) this year. For those that never had the chance to play the original, you play as a rookie Ghostbuster, alongside the original cast of characters from the Ghostbusters movies, who all return to voice their respective characters in a story written by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis.

Great. I didn't like the Wii game at all, since it seemed to have changed the appearance of the characters.

Got to see Bill Murray in action again.

Well, yeah, they changed the graphics so the wii could play it well.

I've always had this game on my radar but never really came around to it.

I will forever treat this like Ghostbusters 3. Because that's what it pretty much is. Written by guys that made Ghostbusters, voice acted by the original Ghostbusters. I'm happy to see it being revived. It deserves it. A fine example of a game based off a movie done right.

I would say more because of costs for licensing and using the actors appareances. If you watch the Wii trailer, you'll see they don't even resemble Bill Murray or Bill Aykroyd at all.

What was the original version for... the Nes?

Pfff, that may as well have been an hd remake that came out last week, the original version was Atari 2600.

Bill Aykroyd? lol
Dan. Sorry, need some sleep.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

i see the resemblance...
Maybe there is, yeah.

So it was because of tech limitations that the Wii had its own version.

Good to see the same version as other consoles coming to Switch then.

I remember the Sega Master System version, better that the Nes but the game was still terrible. The Sega Genesis Game that's supposed to be a sequel, is way better.

The 2009 game aka the original Ghostbusters: The Video Game is the better game of all according to reviews.

I actually miss this game the first time... That said, probably still not going to get it. So random.

I wonder if they have movie plans again.

Yup, new movie is supposedly coming out in 2020 and this time it'll be a sequel to the two original films. 2016 version will be ignored from the looks of it
