EDIT: This is now confirmed to be true. The game runs with a dynamic resolution maxing at 720p in docked and 540p in handheld. They didn't specify the framerate but it's safe to assume it runs at 30fps. The game will probably contain the complete game on the cart but we can't be 100% sure yet. On Twitter they say the game contains the expansions and DLC but don't specify whether it's all included on the cart. I'm inclined to believe it is because the box does not say SD card required.

The original post is below:
According to this article The Witcher 3 will be released on the Nintendo Switch in September. Multiple Chinese sellers have listed the game on Taobao.

There is currently no official confirmation so don't get your hopes up.

Playing Witcher 3 on a handheld is nice idea.
But I don't think it will don't run very well...
We have doom on the switch. Do you know how graphically heavy that game is on the PC and other systems? They made it work for the switch. This will be just fine

Very unlikely that potato switch can handle witcher 3:P when 10 years old ports looks and works like crap in handheld.

And now it's official. Probably download only, or a cartridge with a required digital download.

And they have a lot of time to optimize before release.
No matter how much they optimise, there's only so much they can do with the Switch's limited hardware. It will probably run at a dynamic resolution maxing out at 720p 30fps. I'll pick it up when I get around to getting a decent PC.

Now I want to see a hands on video from an E3 Both! I hope they let the audiance test the game.
Edit: Wouldn´t be surprised if we get 20 FPS like in Ocarina of Time back in 1998.
