Hideo Kojima's absolutely wild looking game, Death Stranding, has just gotten its official release date. In the latest trailer, we continue to see the bizarre imagery from previous trailers alongside some brand new gameplay. Also shown is main character Sam (played by Norman Reedus) exploring massive landscapes, fighting enemies in bulky yellow hazmat-like suits, and riding a transforming motorcycle. Capping off the eight-minute video is the day the game will launch: November 8, 2019, as an exclusive for the PlayStation 4.

Death Stranding” is a completely new type of action game, where the goal of the player is to reconnect isolated cities and a fragmented society. It is created so that all elements, including the story and gameplay, are bound together by the theme of the “Strand” or connection. As Sam Porter Bridges, you will attempt to bridge the divides in society, and in doing create new bonds or “Strands” with other players around the globe. Through your experience playing the game, I hope you’ll come to understand the true importance of forging connections with others.

I was half-joking - I'm in no hurry to get one, but I'll be tempted now if I see a good offer
Still, I won't lie if I say the game has caught my interest. I wouldn't mind it if it's a MGS4-esque one either (aka a game with very, very long cutscenes) as long as the story itself is good, but I guess only time will tell if that's the case!

Don't listen to the haters. Metal Gear Solid revolutionized gameplay over and over. I have no doubt the gameplay will be great in Death Stranding Kojima just didn't show much keeping it as a teaser. Maybe he should have done a better job of showing off the gameplay so people will stop with the "$60 movie" quote that a lot of people say but I don't have any reservations. Kojima has more than earned my trust. He's a legend.

The story look promising, the gameplay look creative with new ideas, the graphics looks amazing, what else you want?
not every game need to be a shooting game to call it a game, Metal Gear Solid gameplay was unique and the story was deep, we want something like that.

I remember people saying the same thing about Metal Gear Solid games that they were just movies, which is absurd.

I don't think so. Last time I bought a playstation exclusive game, it was a game first and foremost.

Usually reviews don't come out for games until AFTER their out or at least close enough that reviewers can get their hands on it neither have taken place yet yet here you are trying to review it and discourage everyone from buying it.

You know that when you get previews or trailers of games they don't necessarily show you EVERYTHING the game has to offer, no?
