Coming as not much of a surprise to many, the Sonic the Hedgehog movie won't be releasing this year. Following the outpouring of criticism regarding the film's trailer and design of Sonic, the production team said they'd be redesigning the character to make him look a bit more like...Sonic. That announcement was made earlier this May, meaning the visual effects team would only have less than six months to rework the new look into the movie. That apparently turned out to not be enough time, as Jeff Fowler, the director, stated that they'd be taking a little more time to make Sonic "just right", by delaying the picture from November 8, 2019 to February 14, 2020.

It's also worth noting, the picture shown in the delay reveal has Sonic wearing his traditional white gloves, as opposed to the original movie design which instead featured him having white paws.

I am a big peanuts fan and didn’t care for the movie. I was disappointed with it. The peanuts movie was a remake of 4 or 5 old peanuts cartoons cut and pasted together. If they would did something more original or something from the comics, that had never been animated before, I would of enjoyed it more.

The art style, the music and voice acting were all spot on and really good.

I doubt any movie will have 99% negative on there anymore. Most of the current one that high, are the result of review trolling. Rotten tomatoes announced they are starting to require proof of theater view-ship before you can review movies. Once out on home-video and streaming, they are going to require proof of purchase before hand as well. I imagine for streaming, they’ll enable account linking to streaming services and apps. Not sure how the’ll handle physical purchases. Maybe a photo of your receipt?
