Wondering if anyone can help, for some reason atmosphere doesn't like it when I forward anything via nsp into the ffmpeg core in retroarch, I've tried manually creating the NSP with hacbrewpack&I've tried nro2nsp (Wasn't sure if same method is applied to forward the files to the nro)

Does anyone know if there's a way around this crash? or is it the actual core itself and changes would need to be made in order to allow this function, if that's the case I doubt anyone can help but it's worth a shot.. I'm sure more people would like this than just myself so I'm trying to figure out how to get it working.

Would appreciate any help or if anybody knows how we could achieve this, I'd love movies on my home screen.. Not just for myself but for my non-technical family members, It'd be nice to hook up to the TV and be able to select a movie and watch without retroarch/pplay as you can see the pictures in the tiles

Anyways long shot I know but cheers guys

well the crash comes from the core because other cores work with these programs -_-

I figured that but I guessed I could possibly be missing a command rather than just the core.nro "C:\Pathtovideofile.mp4" that the other cores are able to read, Idk I thought somebody would've tried this already

well all arguments are (IDK but something like that)
retroarch.nro -core=NES -rom=sdmc:/roms/rom.nes
and what you want is
retroarch.nro -core=ffmpeg -rom=sdmc:/videos/video.mpeg
btw why do you want to watch films offline with BrowseNX is the same possible on YT or something with videos.

Would just be nice to have, I'd be able to use my switch as a sort of media centre. Where I could easily take it wherever I want to go (Maybe a family members house) and just connect it up to the TV and play a movie, and it be easy to do (This is why I want to forward them) It's easy just selecting a movie from the home menu and it plays without the need to know how retroarch or homebrew in general works on the switch so that non-technical people have an easy time using the movies that are on it.
