Pokémon Rumble Rush Poké-lands onto smartphones soon

RpcKvxT.png

A new Pokemon game has released. Launching today without an announcement or tease, the mobile title Pokemon Rumble Rush is now available in Australia, and will soon be downloadable for North America, Europe, and Japan. This game has had an odd history, originally announced as Pokeland all the way back in 2017, before never being heard from again. Ambrella, the developer behind the game, retitled it as Pokemon Scramble SP, or as it'll be known in the west, Pokemon Rumble Rush and retooled it as a continuation of the Nintendo Wii's Pokemon Rumble spinoff series. The game will be free to play, as most mobile games are, and will let you fight other Pokemon, collect ores to level up your team, and find new creatures to capture.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHHA

I actually liked pokemon rumble on the Wii though. Or was that poké-park? Both of them were fine, actually.

Please, no stamina meter. I hate games that force you to pay if you want to play for more than a few minutes a day.
I'm not a fan of it either, but if it didn't work, it wouldn't be a staple of nearly every free to play mobile game. That said, stamina meters vary a lot per game - my brother plays Fate/Grand Order and can spend like over an hour on it without refilling stamina, and he has hundreds of stamina refill items because you just don't need them if you play reasonable amounts. I've seen a mobile game that let you play as much as you want, but gave you the option for consuming stamina to multiply the rewards you gained from playing by 6 times. I've played another one that only would save your high scores and give exp when you used stamina, but you had an option to play as much as you want as long as you didn't mind not gaining resources or saving scores. There's definitely games that let you play for 5 minutes and then you need to wait for 6 hours though, those are just awful.

It makes me sad they never properly utilized Pokemon Rumble. Great idea, horrendous execution. Granted pokemon itself was never very well designed either.

Also the art looks like they made this for the N64 originally.

The last one on the 3DS, Pokemon Rumble World, had a gem/diamond system.
I feel like we're probably going to see more of that and have a stamina system this time around, just so kids won't stay glued to their phones.
I do hope we're able to pick which stage we want to go to, instead of it mostly being random again.
