I have been using sxos since launch, and so far, I have not been banned. I only go online on my sysnand and exclusively use my emunand online. I want to play civ vi locally with a friend, and that requires me getting on a network. Would connecting to a network on my emunand and playing a game locally get my switch banned?

I may not be following you on this question.

I use SXOS and go online all the time with no issues. In the SXOS settings there is "stealth mode" option, I ALWAYS have this on. Basically this prevents the Switch from communicating with Nintendo servers.

I've been using SXOS since day one. I always use OFW for Nintendo services and am always on stealth mode when on CFW. So far no ban.

If you have safe mode, you are good to go.

So far not 1 ban on any of my customer's setups

Emunand has been 100% perfect to date

the EmuNAND is a normal NAND only on other medium for example a SD Card or the SysNAND self...
as long as you have nothing what is banable in the real nand for example nsp installed you will not get banned on the new EmuNAND...

Everything what is bannable on RealNAND or SysNAND is bannable in EmuNAND too but when going online with a normal EmuNAND is not bannable only when something bannable happend to it for example NSPs.

May I ask you something, regarding the ban drama? Have you installed nsp on SXOS or you used only XCI (packed with updates etc)?

Use Incognito as SX OS Stealth Mode and 90DNS don't block everything (people are still getting update notifications apparently)
With Incognito all the console unique info is patched out on emuNAND so the Switch is not recognizable by the servers.

i'm 90% sure that the people that got update notifications with 90DNS or Stealth Mode comes down to user error. I can only speak for myself as i've had 90DNS on at all times as well as Airplane mode(Though i did take it off airplane mode a few times) and i have yet to get a single update nag

Even so, Nintendo could add more addresses at any time in a new update, which wouldn't be blocked by 90DNS, and might not be spotted until it's too late.

Nintendo could do A LOT of things that can get you banned for even the smallest modification of system files. The fact that remains that no single method is 100% safe

99 percent of what I do on CFW is emulators. I did back up several games I own using homebrew, like Skyrim which I used mods on, but I haven't used any other "backups".

A little embarrassing I'm not sure what format the homebrew put the backups into, I think it was XCI.
