Good Evening All,

I have updated my Switch to FW 8.0 using ChoiDujourNX ExFAT and now my Switch won't boot. I use SXOS but if select either custom firmware or original fw the screen just goes black and nothing happens.

I know after doing research I should have made a And back up but I didn't and I understand was is a big error on my part. I have updated my switch numerous times using this method and used the same website I had done on all previous updates so I didn't perceive there could be a problem.

I have tried to follow some of the guides I have found from this website and use my Laptop to roll the firmware back but to no luck. I don't mind admitting that is beyond my pay grade. Is there anyone on here that could potentially help me out? The reason I purchased the Switch was to play with my Nephews when they visit.

Thank you in advance Dave

Atmosphere is what he is talking about

Ok thanks for the clarification. I have tried the latest Atmosphere release and that was coming up with a package 2 error. I can't remember what it said word for word.

Thanks
Dave

Hi Crazy P,

That was one of the guides I tried to follow. I couldn't get the hactools part to generate my keys.txt file and this is where i exhausted my limited knowledge on this type of thing I'm afraid.

Thanks
Dave

Then give Kosmos a go and try to boot OFW. Or if you don't mind about fuses, you can deactivate autorcm and just boot your Switch.

I will try Kosmos as I haven't done that yet and report back. This will be tomorrow after work.

Worryingly I have tried uninstalling autorcm from the SXOS menu but my switch won't turn at all.

Thanks
Dave

You can try Lockpick_RCM to get your Keys and try again.

Edit: Since your'e on 8.0 you can try to Update to 8.0.1.
Either trough ChoiduJour or trough Recovery Mode (Vol+ + Vol- + Power)

Have you deleted your themes from sxos/titles? Your themes won’t work anymore on 8x you need to dump qlaunch again this can cause problems booting your switch up.

Hi,

I have completely reformatted my SD card and so no games etc are on there. I can't get to the switinternal memory because it won't boot up etc. Really appreciate you responding Reecey.

Thanks
Dave

My apologies it was 8.0.1 that I used. Sorry for not being 100% accurate on that count.

I have tried system recovery but my switch does nothing when trying to boot into this mode.

Thanks
Dave

Sounds like you lost your exfat during the choi update. Try to format to fat32 and put your boot.dat again then inject sx payload.

Formatted my sd card to fat32 copied my boot.dat file, loaded the sx payload and selected custom firmware and agin nothing just black screen.

I really think I have messed my Switch up.

Thanks

Keep trying what people will suggest on this thread and don’t give up yet. There is hopefully a solution available.
