Hardware Can I replace a New 3ds XL circle pad with an Old 3ds circle pad?

I'm about to change the analog in my new 3ds xl because it hasn't been responding correctly lately and since I'm gonna change that I was wondering if I can change the circle pad with that of an old 3ds model

No. They're not cross compatible. o3DSXL and n3DSXL have different sized diameter circle pad. One of them sits too low hitting the shell.

well that's something new.
I always thought that new 3ds and old 3ds circlepads were alike size-wise.

sorry but they are not compatible, I wish you could I prefer the circle pad on the o3ds

i replaced the stick it self, not the whole module just the bit you touch with my old 3ds one and it works fine
