I am having the same issue with ReiNX 2.2.1 in 7.0.0. I have an exFAT micro sd. Updated from 6.2 to 7.0 and the games I had previously installed work normally. But trying to install new ones with Goldleaf v.05 (both through the app and Goldtree USB method) will display the error message "Unable to start software. Return to the home menu and try again." trying to run it. Also tinfoil will give me error 0x00299002 (I read here that it means that I should try USB install and goldleaf, which I did). Any ideas? Thanks in advance for the help!

classic Sig Patch error:
use ES Patches and FS Patches on Atmosphere or use SX OS.

Atmopshere has no Sig Patches you must download them manually.
and ReiNX has them but they r buggy
What? They aren't buggy. The manual patches you have to download originated from ReiNX. If you're saying ReiNX's patches are buggy, then by extension so are Atmosphere's. Also Atmosphere's are hard-coded per firmware while ReiNX has smart patching.

ReiNX has RPX files and Atmosphere IPS Patches

What does the file format have to do with anything unless you're implying the .rxp format is buggier than .ips
you said that Atmo is copying these files but these RPX/RXP (idk not usin reinx) arent used in Atmosphere what a suprise

While the formats are different, that doesn't mean one set of patches weren't derived from another. The IPS patches for Atmosphere came out very shortly after ReiNX released their .RXP patches. This was already discussed when the IPS patches were released via RajNX which you can read for yourself.

you can use a hex editor if you want and send me pictures of copied code :)

I haven't been gaming for such a long time. Been mostly busy with sleep, hardware tinkering and checking GBAtemp frequently.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Hope you've had a good morning.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
It's going alright thanks :) I know what you mean with gaming time. It's precious where I can get it these days.

I think that's why I focus on just enjoying single player experiences that aren't too competitive

    How are you doing?

There's also this thing where I'm hyperfocused at night and cannot get to sleep.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    @Maximumbeans, I'm doing alright, thanks.

That must be rough. Productive I'm sure but hard to balance with daily life

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Man, that's beyond my brain  I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.

@Maximumbeans, I had a friend who had a glass chess set for their birthday.

It was like all clear and fancy. Tbf I'm not too experienced with chess, but would like to learn someday.

    That sounds really cool

I know the basics but no strategy at all
