I know the PSP Disgaea is better than the PS2 version, but what about other games?

Of course Disgaea 2 for the PSP is quite good and for me is the definitive version of the game.

Asterix & Obelix XXL 2: Mission: Las Vegum added minigames and multiplayer for the PSP even if the graphics got a downgrade.

The PSP port of Warriors Orochi 2 by Koei Canada included the extra characters and stages from the Japan-exclusive Warriors Orochi Z complete with English voices, after that version was canned for Western release. It helped that the game ran amazingly well on the PSP, too.

Parappa The Rapper is better on the PSP to the point the PS4 version is a slighty modified rom of the PSP game on an emulator!

Final Fantasy IV is definitely quite good on the PSP. Fixed translation, greatly improved graphics, removed lag, a choice between the SNES and DS soundtracks, and a number of bug fixes.

Persona 3 for the PSP is basically Persona 3 with most of the gameplay elements of Persona 4 refined to perfection, and the ability to choose the gender of the main character. There's also a few new Social Links around, including a cameo by Ms. Kashiwagi from Persona 4. And you can have full control over your party, like in Persona 4.

Phantom Brave: Heros of the Hermuda Triangle Is definitely one if the best versions and has some exclusive stuff for the PSP.

Makai Kingdom has a PSP port with a new story mode that deals with Petta, a young girl who claims to be Zetta's daughter.

La Pucelle: Tactics got a PSP port, with extra content, called La Pucelle: Ragnarok. Sadly is Japan-only... has a translation patch been made?

Can you propose some good game for PSP, for now, I'm playing Nintendo DS games but I want to try PSP games?

Well. GUN Showdown is an expanded version of GUN. Visuals are actually downgraded, but it got some new missions and new weapons.

As a counter example I would say Outrun 2006 - I found the PSP version (which I played first) to be a lot more stingy with the miles (game's currency)

I'd say Persona 3 FES for PS2 is the definitive version at this point. I think that Persona, Persona 2 Innocent Sin, and Persona 2 Eternal Punishment are also best on psp compared to old psx versions

Isn't the translation project of the PSP version of Eternal Punishment almost done? I remember reading it was coming along real nice.

As for Persona 3 Portable, it had its own exclusive content, but that was about it. (Female protagonist and some Persona 4 cameos. Damn, do I feel old referencing Persona 4!)

Ah didn't realize that. I wish there was an all in one version of some sort. and I haven't been keeping up on that, but it sounds nice (:

It basically was like a Persona 3.5 since it had a lot of Persona 4 stuff.

It is the same game? I always thought they were different.

No is not the same game, is just the most know game of the series.

If you like RPGs and level grind, Disgaea 2 is better than 1, but 1 is funnier.

If you like Sonic, Sonic Rivals 2 is definitely the best Sonic game for PSP once you unlock the option to race without a rival.

You can also convert any PS1 game rom to play on the PSP.

There is also tons of puzzle games too.

First of all, Persona 3 Portable is actually the same as the base part of the extended FES for PS2 but without the stupid time-wasting walking around (which I DESPISE as it adds pointless time to a game that already lasts 100+ hours), so consider it superior to the PS2 one.

All Disgaea games on the PSP are better, especially the first one (I LOVED how you could level characters up to ridiculous levels like lv9999999:rofl2:). And for everyone that loves Disgaea don't forget that the PSP also has the Prinny games which are hilarious!

Other games that are superior are:
- FFIV as already mentioned (entire collection all in one plus very comfortable controls)
- GTA Vice City (just felt more fun to be able to run your racket business on the go:P)
- Digimon Re:Digitize (too bad it never got localized on the PSP and translation isn't released)
- All Harvest Moon games that were released on the PSP (they just feel more natural on the go and all)
- Monster Hunter Portable 3rd (got re-released for PS3 but PSP one just feels much better for some reason despite limited controls)
- All Monster Hunter games on the PSP that got re-releases (MH1st, MH2nd, MHFreedom, MHFU, MHFreedom 2 as they are enhanced/polished versions of the PS2 originals)
- One Piece Romance Dawn (better than the 3DS re-release as it's in it's original form)
- Silent Hill Origins (PSP's screen ratio makes it MUCH more enjoyable and atmospheric compared to the shitty 4:3 ratio of the PS2 version)
- Silent Hill Shattered Memories (same reason as above)
- ALL Ys games (I mean, come on, all the versions of Ys games on the PSP are VASTLY superior to any other releases of them)
- Eragon (the movie tie in and while the Eragon game on PS2/PC is "meh" yet still pretty fun for a single run, in the PSP one you control the actual dragon instead and it's just fun to fly around and stuff, more fun than the PS2/PC ones)
- Godfather (the PC one is superior, BUT, the PSP one is MUCH more replayable as it takes away all the time-wasting driving around which is a pain and keeps all the good parts with the action/shooting/strategy aspects of the game)

Those will do for now, could list another dozen but lazy:P

Infected is a solid arcade style game and Brotherhood of the blade is pretty good if you're into dungeon looters

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance is one of my favorite games of all time lol
Let's be honest here, War of the Lions IS the superior version mechanics-wise, but Advance has such lovable and adorably designed characters so it's better:P

I mean sure. I don't think that FFTA is a better game, mechanics wise, game play wise, etc. But in terms of sheer fun for me personally? I'll play FFTA for the rest of my life.

I know what you mean, I played TA three times fully, while gave up at less than halfway through WotL, mechanics mean nothing when characters are dull AF:rofl2:

Rondo of Blood PSP has the new PSP version plus included the PC Engine CD original and a version of SOTN with new voice acting (not good voice acting, still, and no longer that "so bad it's fun" thing it had on the PSX)
