TX Presents SX OS v2.7 BETA - Full v8.0.1 Compatible!

Good day, friends! We are pleased to announce the release of SX OS 2.7 beta.
SXOS27.jpg

Well, if you been waiting to try out 'boost mode' in Zelda or play MK11, well no more waiting, you can now update and enjoy! :)
This update brings full compatibility with firmware 8.0.0 and 8.0.1. All your favorite SX OS functionality (emuNAND, XCI emulation, cheats, etc.) should work as intended.

SX OS v2.7 beta is available on our website and through our Online Update right now!

We keep getting excellent feedback from our users, and have accumulated a nice todo list for new SX OS functionality. Its been almost a year since our initial release, but we promise we're still actively working on adding new features and improving existing ones.

Of course, behind the scenes we are also still working hard on our solution for those "unhackable" switches. Good progress is being made, so hang in there!
That's it for today, keep checking back for more updates!

Just don't patch them at all with NSCBuilder. Every game and update should work on 8.0.1 without patching it for a specific firmware.

I got that, but the game is 25GB I would like to put it altogether into a xci so I can load from a HDD, is that currently possible, if not with NSCBuilder what tool should I use? Tks!

Yeah it's possible and they will work on firmware 8.0.1. NSCBuilder will work fine for that. Just don't patch the firmware version requirement when it gives you the option.

'Overclocking' is obviously safe in portable mode if it's under what the Switch is already doing out-of-the-box in docked mode.
wrong. Holding the switch produces significantly more heat than when the switch is docked. ambient temperature is around 23 °C (about 73.4 degrees Fahrenheit (°F) whereas body temperature is around 98.6°F (37°C)

He's talking out of his ass. There's plenty of other examples of switches malfunctioning from heating problems including and not limited to cracking and warping.
ffs I never said there isn’t heat issues. I just said that the 1785mhz speeds used during loading in botw and mario won’t affect temps much

edit: also the warping isn’t related to heat most of the time, dunno about the cracking

That we all know... Now I would like to know is if choosing docked clocks for portable would trick the software into making the games to run with docked mode visual quality (Not talking about the dynamic resolution games like Wolfenstein, that one I already know it gets better with OC as the game automatically detects that there is more juice and automatically downcraps less and get better stable performance specially on doom hardcore mod that requires more CPU performance and craps down on the Switch)...

If OC doesnt get the games with docked mod quality, I hope someone could get is docked mode engaged on the games while playing portably.

They both have their exclusive features so...

Wait for specific features to be implemented like USB/HDD support is coming soon for AMS and FS EmuNAND. XCI loading is loading from a USB/HDD and these files take large amounts of space in the forms of 4gb, 8gb etc unless you trim them ofcourse.

Waiting for features I know are already out there makes me anxious. I would probably be banned by now if I were still waiting for atmos emunand. XCI loading from a USB/HDD is the perfect solution in my case to enjoy the games that are 24gb+ and that feature most likely will never come to another cfw. Even if all Sx os features come to the free alternatives I still wouldn't regret my purchase as I got the features I wanted months/years in advance. Time is money. Best $25 I've spent on my switch.

several games doesnt work with this version
It also happened to atmos when they added 8.x support and patches were made. It had something to do with some sketchy xci to nsp conversions. If I remember correctly. Redownload a clean scene release and that one should work.

ah, dont have those so cant test them personally... those 3 are fairly old games so might just be an issue with the sigpatches. If so, should be fixed quickly

How do I setup the ipl?

[config]
autoboot=1
autoboot_list=0
bootwait=5
customlogo=1
verification=1
backlight=100
autohosoff=0
autonogc=1

{AtlasNX/Kosmos v12.1.1}
{ }
{Discord: discord.teamatlasnx.com}
{Github: git.teamatlasnx.com}
{Patreon: patreon.teamatlasnx.com}
{ }

{-- Custom Firmwares --}
[CFW]
fss0=atmosphere/fusee-secondary.bin
kip1patch=nosigchk
atmosphere=1
logopath=bootloader/bootlogo.bmp
{ }

{---- Miscellaneous ---}
[Stock]
fss0=atmosphere/fusee-secondary.bin
stock=1
{ }

This is the default Kosmos pack, hekate_ipl, to boot SX OS you would point it as:

{-- SXOS --}
[SXOS]
payload = /bootloader/payloads/SXOS.bin

This will work with Kosmos 12.1.2 as well, right?

whats the best way to update the emunand to higher firmware?
Thanks, it worked on 7.01 - then I updated my emunand with 8.01 files and it bricked the emunand.

EDIT: I was using a custom theme, after removing sxos/titles/0100000000001000 folder - emunand is working fine with 8.01 now.
