Hi there, hope everyone is having a great day.

I just bought a 2DS and really want to install CFW on it. I know there's a lot of threads probably posted but just wanted to ask just in case and I missed it. As these things can be overlooked, what is the best method to get CFW running at the moment, easier the better for an idiot like me.

Thanks and apologies in advance.

you can check https://3ds.hacks.guide/ for the best method on your version. on the latest firmware you can go for either seedminer (requires any dsiware) or ntrboot (requires a ds flashcart)

Thank you, can I ask also since I probably will hack it. Is there a R4 card or something similar which ahem lets me play .cia files without doing the hacking?.

Seedminer by far is the least expensive option to install Luma on your 3DS. It costs nothing if your 3DS is a USA or JPN model, and if it is a EUR model, it costs $2. It also is rather quick, taking about an hour total. Get started here: https://3ds.hacks.guide/seedminer.html

can you please show us where exactly it is free then? That page you show has it stated that it works for all regions but is only free on us and jp consoles.

What is the best flash card to get for a New 3DS XL? And is the 3DS Hacks Guide still the one to follow? They have a list of flash carts, which one is the best one?

https://3ds.hacks.guide/ntrboot
What are you using it for? If you're using it for ntrboot just get the cheapest one that will work for you. You don't have to use a flashcart to install CFW either - there's ways to do it for free now, so think twice before buying one. If you're using it for DS games, you only need to make sure it can run Wood firmware. Apart from that get the cheapest.

Hey guys, OK got my charger now and its got juice to go.

Now my firmware is 11.9.0 42E

I been watching this video, and it seems really easy to follow while watching:

Now the problem I don't get is and hoping someone can help, this installs the bootstrap 9 correct, but what do after wards to get luma cfw and fbi to install .cia.

Is there another video people can recomment, as watching is easier than reading because of dyslexia

DON'T follow video guides. Follow https://3ds.guide only. If you get stuck or confused then tell us what page, section and step you're up to, as well as why you are stuck / screenshots or photos, and someone will help right away.

Thank you, is it because its out of date?
One(!) of the problems with video guides is: We simply do not know every video out there, but we know 3ds.hacks.guide. If you link to a random video and ask: "Is this okay?" this would mean to watch the whole video (and follow every given link below the video) just to be able to give a sensible answer.

In this particular case: Yes, the video is outdated because one of the links in the description leads to another site outside YouTube with lots of fancy scripts resulting ultimately in the download of a super convenient "all-in-one package" (containing the old Frogtool version 1.1 and maybe other outdated software) from a Google Drive.

OK thank you, sorry for asking. Like I mentioned reading is morre difficult and slower than watching a video. I apologise in advance for any questions later on.

Don't worry about asking questions you might think are stupid, we've seen everything! Feel free to ask in advance of doing a step if you want to clarify what it really means in some different words. Depending on what step it is we might even be able to give you some screenshots of what you should be seeing.

@K3Nv2 Snow Day is pretty fun. My only bitch would be the camera controls, when you move around, say down, you have to move the right stick left or right to get camera to turn and get your view, other than that I like it so far.

From what people say pvp isn't even worth it

I just been playing offline, and they give you a few bots here n there on your team to help battle. I don't think it's as funny as the other games tho, more battle oriented than humor, which kinda sucks, but I'm still early in it
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, doesnt the game have a campaign mode?
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea, and co-op, but you can also start a pvp session and battle just with friends. You get special skill cards (powers) the more you play. And higher value cards, but you can only enable so many cards at a time.

Toilet paper is considered the money, you collect and buy stuff with TP, kinda funny. Graphics are def better than the other games tho, I think they used Unity 5 engine.

@Xdqwerty, Many of them did before colour television was common.

Likely because black and white TV was in-expensive.

How much did a 1965 color TV cost?

For example, a 21-inch (diagonal) GE color television in 1965 had an advertised price of $499, which is equal to $4,724 in today's dollars, according to the federal government's inflation calculator.
