Twilight menu can now be installed with the updater :) So download the updater cia file and install it through FBI then when you open it you can install the release version of all the files you need.

Thanks for this. I had avoided all videos as people mentioned they go out of date so quickly, but looking through this helped me figure out what I had done (or not done in this case haha) Finally got everything up and running. :toot:
the video seem outdated but it helps too

3DS games go to SD card, DSiWare goes to NAND. Installed games are stored in the Nintendo 3DS folder. Don't try to move games around, you'll end up messing your files up. If you want to remove a game temporarily then back up the save with JKSM or Checkpoint and uninstall it.

Change it to something else, I think when you press down in a direction on the D-pad the opposite side goes up. So you can't press both at once.

3DSs are on sale on the Nintendo store. I bought one but reading the 3DS guide it says the guide is only for retail versions and not 3DSs from the Nintendo Developer Program. Since I bought a refurbished 3Ds from the Nintendo store is it likely it'll be patched to prevent it from being hackable? Should I cancel the order?

It isn't going to be a development program 3DS unless you are a game studio and you paid several hundred dollars for it.

GBA games are more easily run as injects (cia files so you can play them directly from your home menu).

*Opening post was here, thanks for quoting it*[/B][/B]
So I have a question. I recently installed homebrew, luma, fbi, and did everything that was in this tutorial
Everything was working great and I could put .cia files on the sd card and get them in the console, but earlier today I was using fbi and I pressed the home button on my 2ds and now all of the homebrew and those other things aren't showing up and I can't add or delete anything from my sd card. I tried just formatting the card on my computer and starting over again but the computer can't successfully format the card. I tried deleting everything from the card manually but whenever I take the card out of my computer, put it back in the ds, and back and the computer again, all of the files reappear and everything is still not working. Any help is much appreciated.

Test it with h2testw but it sounds like your card is corrupted. You might have to buy a new SD card. Hopefully you have been backing up your saves with JKSM or Checkpoint and storing them on your PC, so you can restore them on the new card.

In future try not to disturb an SD card when it is being read or written to :-)

It's still running the test but it says the media is likely to be defective. Also do you have any idea when I might have disturbed the sd card?

I have a n3DS XL (USA) which I hacked back in early 2016 to have ReiNAND/EmuNAND. I haven't used it in several years and unfortunately I don't remember all the 3DShacks terminology or exactly what I had done at the time to get it to that state. It runs fine, but I'd like to re-hack it using B9S. The Plailect guide has instructions for transferring EmuNAND data to SysNAND after hacking, which is great. But I am wondering whether to update my SysNAND first. My SysNAND is running 9.2.0-20U and my EmuNAND is on 10.7.0-32U. Which of these options should I do?
  1. Update SysNAND to 11.9, hack with SeedMiner, transfer contents of EmuNAND to SysNAND
  2. Keep SysNAND on 9.2, hack with Soundhax, transfer contents of EmuNAND to SysNAND, then update to 11.9 (is this safe?)
  3. Keep SysNAND on 9.2, hack with Soundhax, transfer contents of EmuNAND to SysNAND, and NEVER update SysNAND again
  4. Something else?
Thank you!

Don't update first, as you will be able to use SoundHax on 9.2. Do option 2. Part of transferring emuNAND to sysNAND will be to get rid of emuNAND as it isn't useful.

However, before you start, uninstall menuhax because it will make you get a black screen on boot after installing B9S if you don't remove it before you start. To do this, boot into sysNAND and change the home menu theme.

Thanks so much! I was worried about option 2 in case updating caused me to lose the hack, but I guess not. I'll proceed with confidence now :)

Your card is either fake or failing. Check my signature for a replacement cards. Always check with H2testw before using.

And try not to rely on tutorial videos.
