If you are using atmosphere you should wait til emunand releases to try going online with a hacked switch. Too dangerous right now.

Tbh, using atmo how it is supposed to be used (no warez, pure homebrew only) is actually pretty safe.

This is what I do, and I haven't been banned in the 7 or so months since I started doing so. Be sure to NOT install any illegitimate games or homebrew NSPs onto the Home menu. It's still a risk however, it won't ever be completely safe to do until emunand comes out.

It is completely safe if you have a clean backup. Or have never sent any error logs.

Not if you block telemetry and take cautionary action. Pure Homebrew is 100% safe in Atmosphere. I think as long as you're slightly more cautious. You'll be fine.

Not sure if its just me or the not-so-stellar English but the way I interpreted OP was that he wanted to play free backups online which is impossible on the Switch. You can only play games you buy online. Even with header injection into .XCI files, you would still need to buy at least one game and that's not even taking into account the risk of getting banned for using a mismatched header and game.
