Release date for Nintendo Switch version of 'Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice' announced

hellblade switch.PNG
Initially released for PCs and PS4, and later for the Xbox One, Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice lands on the Nintendo Switch next week! The Switch port was first announced during February's Nintendo Direct for a Spring release but NinjaTheory, the developers of the game, broke the news of the actual release date on Twitter.

Available on April 11th, this digital-only release is priced at £24.99 / €29.99 / $29.99. To date, this is one of the most visually impressive games that I have played and I am curious as to how the Switch version will hold up. To have a taste as to what to expect from this title, you can check out our official review linked below.

This isn't Vita we're talking about. Looks at least 720p and a stable 30 FPS at Pax East:

I haven't played it yet, so if it runs like that, I'm happy.

So, Ninja Theory is interested in the NS. Good.
But I'm a bit sad I'll never see a NS port (ugh, what have I become...) of DmC, for obvious reasons...

Fun games are fun, period.

digital-only release

Here's to hoping I can call their bluff and have them release a physical copy of it! I remember this being a digital-only title on PS4 and being specified many times as such. I believe NinjaTheory even stated at one point there wuldn't be a physical release? I had a feeling one would come out and waited. Patience thankfully paid off as I have the PS4 release sitting on my shelf.

It does. It uses a dynamic resolution wich you can clearly see. It gets blurry and jagged by having a lower resolution. Also fov isn't that great either compared to the other consoles. It is def lower than 720p. The higher the resolution the sharper and less jagged it will be. The lower the resolution gets you a more blurry image, less sharp with a lot of jagged edges getting bigger and bigger the lower the resolution. That is how resolution works ;)

Why not? DmC runs on my Windows tablet at 800x600 with ease. The Switch would do way better.

what blows me away is the whole 720 p etc. the switch is a hybrid. i love the gameplay video, looks like it will run amazing. Might have to pick up.

Not talking about specs, the NS can do awesome work, I agree with you. Just look at DOOM !
DmC is widely unpopular, but gameplay and graphics wise, it doesn't deserve this hate.
