Hello here. Firstly i want to say thanks for this amazing streaming tool
I used to use it ... like 1 year ago and it worked fine.
But now i'm having an issue (i'm on a different PC), whenever the stream starts, the screens on the app stay black and nothing shows. (But I can still see the FPS changing)
My 3DS version is 11.3, i don't know if that can cause problems
Anyway I tried adding snickerstream to exclusions etc.. as recommended but still the same
I attached log lv3 if it can help

EDIT : Seems like a problem with the direct 2D renderer because when i select GDI + the frames show up (but of course it is too slow)
Also frames are showing up with NTR Viewer
:(

EDIT 2 : And for some reason the previous version of snickerstream also works, but it lacks the new features :/

EDIT 3 : Well finally got it to work after searching "Direct 2D 1.1" and installing the w7 platform update that brings it. FPS seems quite bad but i guess this is linked to my network and the settings.

Hello, when I open the SnickerStream app, it doesn't want to connect to my N2DSXL. And I put the correct IP adress. And, the 2DS XL is open.

Every now and then I get errors connecting and I have no idea why. My internet is fine, my 3DS is on the same connection as my computer, and I'm inputting the correct address. I have my firewalls and security systems disabled,
I either get this annoying nonsense or I get a weird situation where Snickerstream only captures footage when the home menu is up and stops when in-game.

I can answer that for you. You need HzMod, Its topic can be found here.

I wrote most of the code myself, however I did receive some help from others for some rather important stuff (for example, Sono helped me with the HzMod backend). That aside, there's been a good number of community suggestions for features and other stuff, everyone's credited in the About section of the app and, of course, being just a client means Snickerstream simply couldn't have existed without NTR/HzMod!

Anyways, as I kinda hinted above v1.10 supports HzMod, which means you can use it to stream games from an o3DS. However don't expect great performance - it does work, but pretty much all games will run under 20FPS. A very small number of games will also need to use an image format, TARGA, which isn't currently supported by Snickerstream, so those can't be streamed using it just yet. If you really want to stream TARGA games then you can use HzMod's official client, HorizonScreen, but be prepared for very poor performance (5-8 FPS) as TARGA uses a really inefficient compression algorithm (it's not HzMod/HorizonScreen's fault!).

If you need instructions on how to set things up, everything's on the wiki I linked earlier! :P

ooh =0 okay. that's pretty neat that you all worked together to make this happy, i know it must've took allot of work -but i know the work paid off u wu. though i wanna know..curious here but um how long does it take to write a code? if my question -hopefully makes sense lol

oh dang..i mean it's best than anything but freak..i've never render a video at 20fps..can imagine how it would look like e_e" i'm used 60fps since it's much more balance in my eyes. but dang..that sucks buuutt i will use what i got. it's either this or breaking an arm, and leg to sell it for the black market to get money to pay for that damn expensive as heck 3ds capture card crap :/. but thank you again. i will notify you if i need help okay v_v!

There isn't really a set standard - it highly depends on a lot of factors (what you want to code, which platforms/OSes you're targeting, which language(s) you want to use, how familiar you are with the libraries you'll be using, etc). In the end, point #1 is probably the biggest factor of them all (for example, making a GUI for another application will definitely take less time than writing an HzMod-like sysmodule from scratch), but the others have a lot of impact aswell.

Getting a capture card nowadays is even harder than usual because Katsukity went banktrupt a while ago. Loopy's also out of stock and there has been some effort to use the cartridge slot as a way to capture the screens, but there hasn't been any updates in months... In a nutshell, while I'm still hoping for future developments, you're probably better off getting N3DS/N2DS XL and use NTR =/

That aside, if something pops up be sure to read the Troubleshooting guide/FAQ first, but if you still have issues then don't be afraid to ask! Just keep in mind that it may take a while for me to answer as I'm a bit busy as of late, but I'll do so whenever I have a bit of free time.

So how is it going with HzMod dual screen support? Is there a new version or update on the ‚horizon‘? Will there be other improvements as well?

I’m tired of NTR causing crashes and the New2DS is awesome with dedicated core support for HzMod.

That's a known issue with NTR and VC titles. There's not much that can be done about that a the moment so what I'd recommend is to use homebrew emulators instead.

I've tried everything...im not sure what to do.

Every time I load up Pokemon ORAS it works fine. Enabled debugger in luma. The moment I get past the save open I get a 3DS error (communication failed). Press okay. It's still streaming but the FPS goes down to 1-10 from 30-40. Is this normal? Is there a way to fix this?

Hello everyone !
I install Snickerstream which seems to be a great stream tool on my New3DS but I am having trouble to stream.
I'm on an 11.9.0.42E system, I install the HomeBrew Launcher, FBI, then the NTR Boot v2.12. and version 3.6 starts without problems.
Then I run Snickerstream v1.10 via the NTR CFW application and the screen of my New3DS appears on my PC.
I can launch 3DS games with my console and it's great.
Now I have a big problem with Nintendo DS games, when I want to run a DS game with Snickerstream an error message appears and I can not stream it.
This is a huge disadvantage since I wanted to stream my DS game collection on it.
Is there a solution to my problem?
Thank you in advance !

So I wanted to stream my 3ds to my pc and followed the online recommendation of Snickerstream. Since I ran into problems (discribing them in a sec) I also tried Kitkat and NTRViewer.

Firstup how I set up everything:
Started New3DsXl and Enabled Debugger in Rosalina menu
Then I launched NTRBootSelector and selected V 3.6
Back at the Homescreen I wen over to the Pc.

Running Snickerstream(Admin) entering Ip adress and clicked "Connect"
>Error"Cant connect to 3Ds"
Restarted Snickerstream and clicked "NFC Patch"
>"NFC Patch was send successfully"
Clicking connect after that
>Ds screen goes Ping and Blue then back to normal Snickerstream stays black the whole time and displays Frames ranging from 27-36

When I open KitKat(Admin) and click connect it tells me that it cant connect to the 3Ds

When I open NTRViewer I get a Videostream of my 3ds at 30Fps

Since id pref to stream with Snickerstream due to some of its QoL features id appreciate any Ideas on what causes this issue and how to fix it.

I can provide pics and if someone explains me how to get logs I can provide them aswell.

That sounds weird. Could you tell me what OS and GPU are you using? Also, could you try v1.00 instead of v1.10? (You're using NTR, so 90% of v1.10's new features aren't that relevant to you anyways)
