They are correct though. Game is designed to have you syphon money to the developer.
Even with infinite money, you can buy oufits, but the girls wont take them with more than a 10% chance when hotel gifting.
For 3-5 hours of playtime, thats about 15 outfits gifted, to random girls.
If you want to gift a bought outfit to a specific girl without taking your chance to have her take it randomly, you have to make her happy, then buy her gifts she likes, then have a raised chance. This means, that you are menueing for most of the 3-5 hours, with denial and repeat, and you repediately wrapping gifts into paper in menues again. This also means, that you wont be grinding XP thorough quests, which is needed to gain more outfits. Then once you've bought the better ones in owner mode, its back to trying to have a girl accept them as gifts, which just randomly, might not happen for 5+ hours on one outfit.
Of course you could buy them with tickets, which gives the outfits special wrapping paper which they then always accept... But thats the payed economy.
