Heavy Rain, Detroit: Become Human, and Beyond: Two Souls are being ported to PC

Quantic Dream is a developer known for its narrative-driven story games, such as Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls, and most recently, Detroit: Become Human. These games are also known for being exclusive to the PlayStation platform, which is why it might be a bit of a shock to learn that all three games will be headed to PC. Epic Games has secured the titles as exclusive to their Epic Games Store, following an announcement at GDC 2019 including other upcoming exclusives, such as Remedy's Control, Phoenix Point, and The Outer Worlds. All three games will launch later this year, with specific release dates to be revealed in the future.

David Cage and I have planned the next evolution of Quantic Dream very carefully. The move to PC constitutes our studio’s first effort to develop non PlayStation exclusive games in over 13 years, but also an opportunity to gradually engage the team on multiple projects at the same time. The most important evolution for Quantic Dream, however, is that we are no longer a developer working with a publisher. Starting with the PC versions of Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls and Detroit: Become Human, we will be self-publishing all our titles.

Sorry, I don't play fortnite on PC and there for won't ever use Epic gamestore, and don't want to use multiple gamestores. Steam, or pirate, that's just the way it is and the sooner these companies realize it the better.

Same goes for streaming services, sorry Disney not gonna get your streaming service, Netflix, and maybe HULU, or Piracy.

But dam if Sony isn't losing some its ass, Square on Xbox, and now QD on PC, still a great console, but it sure is losing a lot of reason to own one over the other.

It's nice we're getting some other platform options. Not sure if any were planned in advance, or just last minute decisions. I'm definitely waiting longer to buy new games, especially since PC ports end up so cheap, and my backlog keeps me busy.

... Or they could just go back to installing the games from a disc and not a dedicated store front? It's not all about "muh store". If EPIC didn't have such a terrible introduction to the digital storefront this wouldn't be an issue, now would it? They've got a lot of work to do before I'll even attempt to consider installing that trashware again.
My original post was about exclusitivity replying to another poster that talked about exclusivity. And that’s what I was mainly talking about.

You replied to my comment making it seem like you were left with no choice but to use epic and you don’t like epic. If it wasn’t so much about a store front and you can use other options like a disc then why they you make it about a store front saying your forced to use them?

No it wouldn’t be a problem if they didn’t have a terrible introduction but problems exist, life is not perfect, not much you can do about it besides not buying or buy. Support or don’t support.

Ugh, that blows, exclusivity shouldn't even be a thing IMO, due to the fact that I personally feel it only limits options for others.
It’s the only way any store front can compete with Steam and be noticed is to have exclusives. The only reason people complain is because of anti consumer practices but if it wasn’t that then people would be a little more fine with different store fronts.

Only option is to not support them to show you don’t like their practices and either it will spark change or they fail.

I'd be fine with Epic if they didn't leak information like that.
