I used Autoplugin to install Xerpi's udcd_uvc.skprx v1.2 in ur0:/tai/config.txt and have the plugin in ur0:tai/udcd_uvc.skprx. I do not have my config.txt in ux0. When I launch PSVitaDock v4 on my laptop and connect my PS Vita using the USB cable all I get is the PSVitaDock black screen window with the text "PSVITA is not connected!".

I tried connecting to different USB ports. I also disabled my webcam in Device manager. I am not connecting the audio cable from my ps vita to the laptop. I am using Win 7 Pro 64-bit.

Note: I have a slim PSVita 3.68 with the "updated" H-encore 2.0. I can connect my PSVita to my laptop using VitaShell 1.98 via usb cable just fine.

I have the same issue. It was working well if not great at the beginning of the month, but when I updated to version 1.2 of the plugin I now get the same response as aforementioned by Tomtani1. Something new, when I enable the plugin, the Vita will not boot. When I disable it, it boots as it's modified usual.

Same problem here.
I have windows 7 (32bits) and a PS Vita Henkaku Enso 3.65 and the laptop detects the PSVita as a webcam but doesn't appear in PSVitaDock, same black screen with message "PSVITA is not connected!"

Don't know how to fix it!

I also tried to connect my PSVita in a macbook air with the software OBS Studio and when I add "Capture video device" the "PSVita" appears in the list, however nothing happens when I choose it! Black screen! It doesn't mirror to the laptop screen!
[Follow youtube tutorials "Stream PS Vita Screen To PC With Audio! (PoC v5 UVC USB)" but didn't work either]

According to the "issues" section on Xerpi's github , 'vita-udcd-uvc' does not currently work on Mac at all. Unfortunately, I am unable to help with your Windows issues as I have only tried it in MacOS thus far.

edit: was feeling bored so I installed PSVitaDock on my PC and experienced the same issues as OP. But it works fine in OBS Studio in windows (not macos)

I solved "Vita not connected" issue on my computer. Read my comments on reddit (search for "Ps vita dock not connecting to vita")

Windows, by default, loads the wrong driver for the vita (winusb.sys). You have to change to let it work. Let me explain how (WIN10):

  • Press windows key + "device" and open the device manager
  • Browse for your vita in the list and right click on it and select "properties"
  • In the "Driver" tab, select "update driver"
  • Choose "Browse my computer" and after "Let me pick from a list"
  • Select "USB video device" and then "Next". The driver is updated
  • Run VitaDock and enjoy!
