I don't have much interest in ipatched units nor do I know how that became a part of the conversation.
The reason it is part of the conversation is that it goes to show bad faith on the part of TX. They made a claim that they had cracked the uncrackable and posted a video to prove it, shortly after GBAtemp users pointed out that this was in fact not true and they then removed the video. Going to show that either they aren't sophisticated enough to even know the difference between a patched or unpatched unit, or that they are blatant liars.
https://gbatemp.net/threads/rumor-disproven-sx-pro-is-working-on-new-switch-revision.511161/
I assume you’re talking about support for patched units with the “bold claims, no results”, for all you know they are withholding the solution until the revised switch units are released to protect exploits.
I can see you have only been here since october, but if you had been just a few months earlier you would have been around for the post where they claimed to have already cracked patched units and showed a video to prove it works, which was subsequently found to be untrue.

Eh, as someone who owns a 1.0.0 Switch, I am actually very interested in Atmosphere supporting emulated NAND. :) I have Super Mario Odyssey here, and I've been dying to play it (I don't trust myself to correctly update without burning fuses, and the last thing I want to do is brick a 1.0.0 Switch). I've always preferred not making any permanent modifications when I hack consoles.
Sorry, I meant to remove this quote as several others had given information on how to easily update without any permanent effect.

7.0.1 only matters to people who defend atmosphere..
Should have bets on when will atmos support emunand.
Please just stop, I am embarrassed for you.

sounds like an update is about to drop
"PLEASE NOTE: We are currently doing some background updates to our server software. - Stay tuned, as good news is coming this week for those that have been waiting a while for updates!"

This is like you:

Should have bets on when will atmos support emunand.
---

By this point in time 7.0.1 is not important.. 99,999999% games do not use it.. and again.. why is that sxos HAS to have an update right now and are called for not having it.. but no mention of others os ? cant they take their time to do it if they actually dont want to use sept ? Atmos takes their time to do emunand.. and its easier.

I by no means say that there is a better os than other... thats just preference.. some people like xci.. others like latest firm, etc. but to bash on sxos just for not having latest firm when is still not even important...
time will tell if sxos will have 7.0.1 compatibility or not.. if it comes a day when it does.. i wonder what people will use to bash it next.

edit

I think there is a program to actually order the games however you want.. dunno if it works on usb but i did read sd. maybe check it out.
Games will require 7.0.x. It's very important and will matter to just about everyone. It's also true that SX OS might never support anything above 6.2.0.

It's also true that it might rain tomorrow? You keep using words like 'chance' and 'might' which make your arguments 100% baseless. So why say them at all? All you got to do is look at the OP where TX claims there are no roadblocks. Either believe it or don't. And I'm not sure if you missed page 29 where it was pointed out that TX has 'good news' coming this week. I'm not saying it's 7.x support, but it sure as heck further debunks the 'silently dropping support' nonsense.

In before someone tells me "maybe english isn't their first language", I definitely (mostly) understand what this person is saying.
And i am for you.. read before you talk.. its sarcasm.
You have posted on every page this thread, yet you have said absolutely nothing. It's almost like you are just trying to raise your post count or something.

another example of opinions rather than facts being posted in oh so many threads.

also don't forget this from json, who MIGHT have contact with TX ;)

BREAKING NEWS: TX is gonna come out with support for 7.x WITHOUT sept

However, what I'd like to know is if there's a way to do the Retroarch nightly .NRO launched with full memory usage in a SX OS exclusive environment. Is that possible yet?

  • Homebrew menu takeover of any title by holding R
Homebrew is usually launched from either the TX menu or the Homebrew Launcher menu. Both of these applications run as an 'applet' on the Switch. Applets do not have access to all of the system's memory, and thus any homebrew apps or games launched from here are affected by this as well. The only way to allow full use of the system's memory was to build and install homebrew NSP files. But now we have added another way to give homebrew applications full memory access! You can now hold the (R) button while launching any regular title, and this will launch the Homebrew Launcher Menu. Any homebrew launched from here will run with the same capabilities as a regular Switch game/app. Enjoy!
So to get this feature to work you will need to:

1) Visit the Switch Homebrew Appstore https://switchbru.com/appstore/#/
2) Download HBMENU
3) Extract hbmenu.nro and put it on the root of your SD card.

This will now appear as an application when pressing the album icon and going to the homebrew section. The afore mentioned feature of Homebrew takeover of any title by holding R should now work

hope that helps?

In response to various replies to my last post, it is a fact that SX OS might never support 7.0.x, not an opinion. There is a difference.

In addition, the speculation that we me never see 7.0.x support on SX OS isn't based on nothing. See my earlier posts on the subject.

I think there will be 7.0.x support on SX OS, but it's a very real possibility it won't happen, and I wouldn't recommend that anybody buy SX OS in the meantime until after 7.0.x support is actually released. This isn't unreasonable.

Point is xci is not a selling point in my opinion. Only matters to people who defend sxos

and i .. as sarcasm and to show that the argument he made can be said for atmos in the same way.

This is like you:
