I have an original Xbox One I don't want to replace, but I have a modern 802.11ac wi-fi network. I was wondering if it's at all possible to replace the wi-fi module in the original Xbox One with one sourced from the Xbox One S?

Xbox one, xbox one S and even Xbox one X have the same wireless capabilities. It doesn't make sense to change the module, unless is broken.

Not true. The first model Xbox One does not support AC wifi. This was later added to the Xbox One S's wifi chip. Because of this you can not use different wifi boards on the Xbox One.
