I accidentally bricked my PSP (1001 model) and I can't buy a Pandora's Battery, I don't have a second PSP, and I do not have a card reader (I bought the PSP at a flea market). Is there any hope to recover from this?

I've tried everything I have found online and with no luck. I believe it is bricked beyond repair at this point.
What cfw did you install?
Have you tried this fix?

FIX : hold L and start your PSP 1000 and then switch it off and hold Home and start your PSP

Someone with a similar situation posted this fix on reddit

I had installed 6.61 Pro-C Infinity.

I just tried that method, and no luck there, either.

You can mod any battery to become a Pandora Battery. You will need a Memory Stick card reader though (they are cheap)

I already know that- I have neither the skill nor the money to do that.
It's easy to do, but cutting into the battery is pretty scary. I've heard of people accidentally cutting into the cell inside causing sparks to come out, and they still successfully used it as a pandora battery afterwards, but I wouldn't recommend using a battery that has had sparks come out of it.

I don't have the money to even buy a spare battery, plus not to mention I nearly broke the shell, the cartridge port, and the motherboard when I tried to replace my NES's 72-pin, so I am by no means skilled enough to do that, even with a walkthrough.

Guess I just have a fancy looking paperweight now.

You don't actually need a spare, it's reversible, and there's no soldering involved, so the only thing you can really screw up is actually cutting it open. But I understand, I wouldn't feel comfortable with it either. Nearly breaking something is good though, so you know what not to do next time. Every time you screw up, the next time gets easier. I've messed up seemingly simple projects, but at least I learned something from it.
How much are Pandora batteries now anyway? They were only like 3 or 4 bucks a few years back from China.

Theres one method left that i can think of, it worked for me back in the day so hopefully it helps, that is if you haven't already tried it. While off press and hold all the buttons then power on.

Even my big fingers can't hold all the buttons and hit power switch at the same time.

It's a bit of a struggle but if i remember correctly i held down L, R, x,O,square, triangle, home, select, and start buttons and it booted back to ofw.
If this doesn't work i think pandora battery and magic mem stick is your only way out of the brick at this point.

Tried that and no luck. Guess I just have a display piece then because I don't have the money for a Pandora's Battery and magic mem stick
