So... I updated my switch to FW 7.0.1 not realizing that sigpatches were not out for atmosphere 0.8.4. Seeing the update came out like a few days ago instead of waiting.... the idiot I am I downgraded back to FW 6.2.0. So now my switch will only boot in RMC. It will not load up like normal with the jig off with no CFW. So, I decide to try to fix the boot mess by running a fix on the rawnand dump file i had not knowing it had the FW (5.1.0) included and this has just snowballed it to a mess. When trying to load CFW with hekate i get pkg2 decryption failed! failed to launch firmware... Same thing for stock. I've spent most of my weekend surfing the net trying to figure this out and get my switch working to no avail. Just tired and defeated at this point... Any help to fix this or advice on a program to try would be great if not... just have to wait till someone comes up with a fix down the road.

restore your old backup,,, rawnand.bin and boot 0/1
only boot with hekate .... to boot stock.. Hekate must be used to bypass fuse check

Or...

use a copy of your most recent backup,
and following parts of this guide >Click here
To rebuild your nand backup and update it to
the system version you need...

in your case
take old backup > use hacdiskmount and the guide above to rebuild your backup to 7.0.1

That link was one of the first thing i found and have spent the lion share of trying to fix with but, when i get to step 7 is where it all falls apart. I get these errors and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Value numbers were removed to protect my keys.

Also restored Boot0/1 with rawnand.bin and did the boot to stock... no change. hekate is all I've ever used. I just updated to hekate 4.8 just to see if that would help... no difference sadly

Not sure what keys are needed to decrypt but the issue or errors there mean that it doesn't know what to do with those keys , or they are not correct,

You have to find the correct key list...

seen as the key list is available online by typing in google
latest switch keys.txt

i sent you the link here >snip

or
make a copy of your keys file ,

and remove the entries in that file relating to the warnings

The keys I was trying to use with this are the ones that I dumped from my switch using Kezplez. Seems looking at the one you have linked and the ones i'm trying to use that they are WAY different. Let me give the file a go and see what happens.

YOU are awesome Canna! Switch is back and running. Lesson learned now to try to get everything back to normal. :toot::bow:

Next time, do not link copyrighted keys. Or at least if you want to, don't do them on this site.

cyberpunk at 4k without DLSS/fidelityfx *might* exceed 12gb

but that game barely runs at native 4k
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think it was some newer games and probably poorly optimized PS4 or PS5 ports
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
they definitely will age better but i feel dlss might outweigh that since it looks about as good as native resolution and much less demanding

When I played Cyberpunk on my old 2080 Ti it sucked lol
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
AMD could introduce something comparable to DLSS but nvidia's got a lot more experience with that
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
least amd 7xxx has tensor cores which the previous generations didn't so there is the potential for AI upscaling
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
They have FSR or whatever it's called and yeah it's still not great
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
so AMD seem to finally be starting to take AI seriously
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Oh yeah those new 8000 CPUs have AI cores built in that's interesting
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Maybe they plan on offloading to the CPU?
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Would be kinda cool to have the CPU and GPU working in random more
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Tandem even
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i think i heard of that, it's a good idea, shouldn't need a dedicated GPU just to run a LLM or video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the nvidia shield tv has AI video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
LLMs can be run on cpu anyway but it's quite slow

Have you ever been beaten by a wet spaghetti noodle by your girlfriend because she has a twin sister, and you got confused and fucked her dad?
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I had a girlfriend who had a twin sister and they would mess with me constantly.... Until one chipped a tooth then finally I could tell them apart.... Lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
They would have the same hair style the same clothes everything... Really messed with my head lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
@The Real Jdbye, I could see AMD trying to pull off the CPU GPU tandem thing, would be a way to maybe close the gap a bit with Nvidia. Plus it would kinda put Nvidia at a future disadvantage since Nvidia can't make X86/64 CPUs? Intel and AMD licensing issues... I wonder how much that has held back innovation.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i don't think nvidia wants to get in the x64 cpu market anyways
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
you've seen how much intel is struggling getting into the gpu market
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
and nvidia is already doing ARM
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i don't think they want to take more focus away from their gpus
