i recently restored a clean backup of my switch, and I was going to hack it again but then I thought: well I’m not banned, and the online games are pretty fun, and I barely used homebrew at all... why did I even have it installed? I might hack my switch again if I can find some valid, really good reason to. Even then... idk. I feel like just staying on stock. I was thinking, maybe I could have a clean backup and every time I wanted to play online I would just restore my old backup, but that probably isn’t full proof right?

You can do this as long as you make sure your dirty nand never contacts Nintendo, but you can't just keep using the same clean backup. You'd have to:

(back up dirty nand)
restore clean nand
play online
take new clean nand backup
(restore dirty nand)

So any changes that nintendo records while you're using your clean nand online don't get rolled back by using the old backup, got to keep the clean backup fresh and updated every time.

If you want an easier option, there's always SX OS emuNAND. As long as you keep all your CFW activities to emuNAND and keep that offline, you can do whatever you want online in sysNAND with almost no chance of a ban (for the moment - they might start detecting emuNAND in the future)

Do you need a license for emu Nand? If they don’t I will consider it maybe.
