Fan translation for Megami Tensei Gaiden: Last Bible has been completed

Originally released nearly 25 years ago for the SEGA Game Gear was Megami Tensei Gaiden: Last Bible, or as it was known in the West, Revelations: The Demon Slayer, an RPG developed by Atlus. It was given an official translation in 1999 and released on the Game Boy Color, though the Game Gear never managed to be localized. Now, thanks to the efforts of RetroTranslator and Supper, players can experience Last Bible in English. This was the final game in the subseries that had not received a translation, meaning all of the games are fully playable in English as of now. Megami Tensei Gaiden: Last Bible's Game Gear version boasts extra content over the Game Boy version, such as more story events, and alternate endings. If you're interested, a .bps and .ips patch are available on Romhacking.net, at the source.

I find it weird that you guys never posted news about majin tensei 2 being translated but you publish stuff like this.
I've only recently set up a news feed for incoming translation patches. I likely was not aware of it at the time. It's not like the information is just beamed into our magstaff's heads when news occurs lol.

why megami tensei isn't as popular as shin megami tensei and persona? they're both spin off the game right?
The spinoffs were mainly what popularized it. In the us though there are far more titles labeled smt that in other regions are parts of specific branches such as persona and shin megami tensei. Persona cam to fruition after the relatability of school characters in shin megami tensei if's non-us release. Many games are called smt games here in the us until the series themselves become popular enough on there own. This is regardless of if they're Actually part of that branch of Megami Tensei Games
