Thatgamecompany's Flower quietly lands on PC

Published by Sony as a PlayStation 3 exclusive just over a decade ago is Thatgamecompany's game, Flower, an artsy adventure game that puts you in control as a slight gust of wind which slowly builds up, allowing you to pick up multitudes of flower petals and move them across fields and valleys. Received well by critics and players alike, Flower would go on to be ported to the PlayStation 4 and Vita, and now, it has been announced and released for PC thanks to Annapurna Interactive. This quick release comes a few months after Thatgamecompany announced that they would be bringing their other hit game Journey to PC soon, as an Epic Game Store exclusive. While the latter hasn't been confirmed for a Steam release, Flower is currently available for $6.99 on Steam.

And another company's main success (Journey in this case) bites the Epic Game Store exclusive dust, because who needs the features, community, and the many years' worth of content that Steam has, amirite!? /s
Content ? what content would steam give journey ?..

What I'm referring to is supporting Steam over Epic's service that isn't even anywhere as good as Steam's in user friendliness, and a game selection that isn't anywhere nearly as dense as Steam's, nor a userbase that, from my observations, is interested in installing more loaders and having to memorize more passwords and put their information with more companies, especially one that gets hacked to death like Epic's!

I 'member this "game". Bored me to sleep with no actual gameplay and monotone visuals. Little girls might like it tho.

After a rough day at work, then coming home to your missus nagging your head off for no reason whatsoever, like they do  (I'm talking 'your other half' here, not being sexist!), Flower was an incredibly relaxing experience! Not sure the same amount of relaxation could be gained sat on a chair hovering over a keyboard, but that's just my rig (and opinion) I suppose...
Journey was gash though, OK the wandering with a stranger was different, but it just felt like pretentious bollocks, almost made for game reviewers to gush over more than anything else (Celeste I'm talking about you too there..), to me: I care not for the PC release whatever store (and subsequent fanfare they give) it arrives on..

Flower is one of the best games that I played on the PS3. Not sure how this would play on a PC not having motion controls, because that was part of the charm: speed up by pressing any button, control your movements by turning the controller physically.

And the music!

And the themes!

And the... "story"!

Yeah, I really like this one.

Still waiting for Journey to be released on the Epic Store, but this will be nice to play again. :)

I remember really enjoying it when I first got a PS4.

If the platform isn't flooded with shovel-ware and asset-flipped games like Steam then tbh I won't mind the smaller game selection.

I hate the way epic is doing this, I can understand their own games being exclusive but... publishers are going for it just for the easy guaranteed money. Now Im not excusing what anyone else does either (theres always a whatabout person).
