Assassin's Creed III Remastered shows Switch version on Ubisoft's official website

Another Switch port might have been accidentally leaked, following the Spyro Switch version goof up earlier. Ubisoft previously announced Assassin's Creed III Remastered, a retreading of the 2012 game, with new graphics and redone gameplay elements. Originally, the game was slated for a March 29th standalone release, for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. With no mention of a Nintendo Switch version, it was assumed that prior rumors claiming it would launch on Nintendo's system were debunked, at least, until today. Upon logging into Ubisoft's site and viewing the store page for Assassin's Creed III Remastered, users could see the listing specifically mention a Nintendo Switch version of the game, set to launch on the same day as other platforms. While no official announcement has been made yet, it seems highly likely that it'll be headed to the Switch somewhat soon. Assassin's Creed III initially launched in 2012, for PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii U.

Whatever system it lands on, I hope they fix the post-story "Pivot" mission. When I played ACIII a few months ago I was one of the unlucky players who got trolled and was never able to 100% it.

The game was also buggy as hell but I think much of that had to do being the first outing of their new AnvilNext engine.

Not as buggy as AC: Unity was. Can't even run the game at 60 fps on PC without having a high end setup, BS.

I don't care a single bit for their remasters, I played all the old ones on my X360 and I think it already looked pretty good.

This is not like the resident evil remasters where the old games really look completely bad for nowadays. That kind of remasters were actually worth it making the game to look really a galaxy far away from the originals.

Me: switch is only good for ninendo games. Not even current gens like cod, battlefield and ac origins.
A lot of previous Gen ports and cheap also on my phone playable shitty games.
Reaction: you should buy a pc or console like ps4. Ac and cod are not for switch.

Now another previous Gen game like ac3 is probably coming to switch and people are so happy.
So now the switch is good enough for ac now? Albeit an old one!

Strange how short of memory some are:wink:

that is my personal opinion for the vast majority of titles on the Switch.. just about everything released I already had on PC. Indie devs love releasing their old shit on Switch.
I lost interest in PC gaming but yea we can find everything on the switch already released first on other systems.

Theres literally shit loads of crap mobile apps and old ports, recycled titles than there is anything AAA quality and new.

I got bored of Nintendo back at the cube, only purchase new systems for the sake of owning every console.

Not sure why they chose this over Brotherhood. Could be just the technical side, I guess since Brotherhood and all other games have much crowded places, but the third game has some open areas... oh well, Ubisoft is Ubisoft.

I lost faith in Assassin's Creed after the public dislike Syndicate which in my opinion is just the perfection of all that is AC with Odyssey being the worst possible version of AC heavily influenced by all the "equality" propaganda (which has nothing to do with equality).

I haven't played Origins yet, so maybe that will be good for me.

I understand where you're coming from, but I'm not complaining about more games for the Switch. It's about as crazy as people asking for PC ports at this point, except at least I can take the Switch with me!
but wouldnt it be just nice to be able to take your switch with you and play the actual current new titles at the same time as its released on the other systems first time?

problem with nintendo is they get shovelware crap, the decent/good games port over years later.

been there, done that, got the t-shirt.

i couldnt give a crap if i could play it on the go and it sucked me off.

theirs no real incentive to buy a new console to play a game you already own and if you didnt could pick it up cheaper.

i dont get why ubi are milking porting its older titles, must be running out of ideas to crap out another assissins game each year so they decide to port an old one while they still think of a new location to set its next game.

i bet after this, theyll release another set in a random time frame, then probably port assassins 1 or liberation.

a bit like activision with COD:
COD title
BO title
COD title
BO title

In a shocking, unexpected twist, as much as I hate remasters, I do have to admit they're good for one thing: being able to play games you haven't played yet. The only AC games I ever played were AC2 and Brotherhood. At this point in time in my life, I don't have time to play through every game in the franchise like I used to. If you truly want to do that RIGHT NOW, there does exist a device to play some current gen games, though not all: the GPD WIN 2.

Also, there's always going to be shovelware. I haven't noticed it as much on the Switch as badly as with the Wii and the Wii U with all of the good games coming and already on the Switch, in addition to having a life full of responsibilities that really limit the time I can spend with games these days!

Get stargatenx you'll find its littered with old indy apps... even shit my son gets for free on his kindle fire, Nintendo are charging for it on the switch.

This console is another typical Nintendo system that's littered with crap and lacks AAA titles.

Itll be no surprise if ac3 comes that it's an inferior port passing off as a remaster.

But i hate remastered games lately as they dont remaster anything.

Take an n64 rom and run it via an emulator and notice how doing nothing to the game itself but looks far better due to higher resolution and better hardware.

That's all the devs are doing is a lazy port running at higher resolution and graphics set higher than before.... nothing remastered about it when this is what PC gaming has been about since day one.
