Hacking There's a Trinket m0 in my switch?! How do I make it work?

Ok how to summarize this...

I bought a "modded" Nintendo switch on eBay last fall. I started messing around and learning about payloads and whatnot. It was running REInx and had a custom boot animation when I got it. All I had to do was hold power and volume up and it went to reinx from power off.

Fast forward to January, I had it connected to the internet while on the HBMenu very shortly. I mustve forgot to clear settings when I was done and my son got a hold of it while I was at work.

He updated it and it no longer worked at all, wouldn't boot. I used a guide I found using ChoiDujour to downgrade the switch to 5.1. All is well and i've been booting from a NS Atmosphere injector. It always had weird characteristics like how the hell did I boot before without an injector like that?

I decided to take the back off today and see if it has a chip. Sure as shit there's a trinket. Kind of a shoddy job but it worked nonetheless. Ok so how do I make this thing work again? I was almost about to use a mail in service to get one installed but hmm i already have one. I have made it as far as loading Arduino from a guide on here but my computer wont recognize the chip by plugging in the switch and hitting the button on the chip twice while its booted or not booted. Installed Arduino and the adafruit stuff inside the program, chose the board from the menu. I'm lost at this point. Anyone know where to go from here?

It should be booting just the same as before. The Trinket is just set to send a payload when it detects RCM.

What is/was on your sd when you got it? Because if the trinket just loads payload from SD, you just need to replace the payload.
Also, hold vol down immediately after holding vol up and power (to boot to CFW to see if it has hekate or another nice bootloader).
Also it is weird, that it just stopped booting after update

if i dont use an injector it shows "SD card 0 folder .s2 file missing!"

I am not sure what used to be on the card before I completely redid everything before I was aware of the chip

Can you give us a screenshot (of that error)? Also, does the trinket has a reset button? If so, you can easily reprogram it.

Right now all the OS are on the card. Reinx Atmos hekate and sx os pro. I started using argon nx from my injector

If you get Arduino ide, it is quite easy to "install" payload on the trinket (I am currently using argon on it).

5 wire setup. So if you want, you can use this and get whatever payload you want and just copy paste it to the trinket. Or do it yourself with arduino ide.

Cant get my laptop to recognize it when I plug the switch in to it. I've tried from the home screen and from power off and clicked the button twice each time which is what im told is Reset

Does the LED turn red?
It should be RED when in USB mode and green when connected via the USB mode.

yeah it turns red but the computer doesnt do anything

make sure you are using a data cable. Not only charging one.

Your PC has to recognize it as a new device.
Also, I just remembered, you have to do it while your switch is booted (at least I think).

it was originally set up loading reinx. So if there are files that are supposed to be on the card specifically for the trinket to run they arent there anymore

You should get a folder with 3 files. Then you just drop uf2 files from the link I gave you for whatever payload you want there. Or you use arduino ide and do it yourself.

ok i thought i knew what i was doing but alas, no. I have no clue what i'm doing now. How do I set this up? What files need to be on my card? I should treat this as if I just soldered it in and am starting from scratch

First, choose what payload should the trinket has. You can get drag&drop uf2 file from here, or you can do it your self via Arduino ide.
I suggest getting the argon uf2 files. Then you just drop them onto the trinket USB drive and it will "flesh" itself with argon. Which you have apparently already set up on your SD (as you are booting it with a dongle).

it looks like i just need the uf2, and other 2 files for Argon, put them on the boot, and rename argon to payload.bin and put it on the root of the sd card correct? Searching for the ArgonNX uf2 files to no avail
