Ni no Kuni animated film announced

If you've been craving more Ni no Kuni after last year's release of Ni no Kuni II, then Level-5 and Warner Bros. JP have you covered, as they've announced that the series will be getting an animated film, due out later this summer. The anime's script will be handled by Level-5's Akihiro Hino, who wrote the story for both previous games in the franchise. Animation will be done by Studio OLM, which also animates the Yo-kai Watch and Inazuma Eleven anime, also created by Level-5. Ex-Studio Ghibli staff will be in charge of character designs and the musical score.

I loved the first instalment but I just couldn't get into the 2nd game at all. I gave it enough time but I didn't feel it was anywhere near the quality of the first.

As someone who bought both games, it's a niche game and its story is a bit lackluster but hey, they probably made animated films from worse stuff.

IMHO Ni No Kuni is quite enjoyable if you treat it as a playable movie. I'm sure a real movie would fit it better than an actual game, so I'm definitely looking forward to see how this turns out.
