hello
i was trying to play online with my wii u on the mario kart wii hacks, but my wifi just wasn’t working.
I went back on my wii u and tried configuring it manually, changing settings, etc.
my wifi connects just fine on my wii u, but when i go to my wii, my wifi is just nonexistent and doesn’t work.
I tried using my phone’s hotspot, and it worked, though I really don’t wanna use up my data.
how do I fix this ?
my wifi’s security is WPA2, though I read somewhere that the wii doesn’t work with WPA2, so I changed the setting to WPA, and the wii still doesn’t pick it up.

It doesn't support WPA2 TKIP, but it does support WPA2 AES (and either mode for WPA1)...

Do you have compatibility with 802.11g enabled in your access point (and wide/40MHz channels disabled)?

and I'm not sure, how do I find that?
It will (hopefully*) be somewhere in the configuration webpages of your AP, like changing SSID or encryption...

* those 2 I mentioned are still fairly "consumer" as far as things that can be tweaked, but it wouldn't surprise me if some products exist with those options inaccessible

Its not for a permanent solution, im talking about TESTS so you can rule out the possibility of the WIFI Module being broken on the Wii. Try those two things.
