so, i wanted to make some videos from the switch without buying a capture card just for some quick tutorial. Is there any way to stream the switch on the pc? thanks
That would cause issuesBut maybe we can modify the thing were you record 30 seconds back, to record Indefinitely for videos which is what you're looking for.
The way the video capture works is that is stores the last 30 seconds of gameplay in memory and then copies it to the nand/sd card when you hold the capture button, and extending the length of the videos would use more RAMLike what for example?
I meant modify it to not remember the last 30 seconds, i meant use it to record like any recording software. The way the video capture works is that is stores the last 30 seconds of gameplay in memory and then copies it to the nand/sd card when you hold the capture button, and extending the length of the videos would use more RAM
Oh, do you mean disabling the video capture thing so that you can use that RAM for regular video capture software? well, the official video capture uses less than 80mb of ram iirc, idk if that’d be enough.I meant modify it to not remember the last 30 seconds, i meant use it to record like any recording software.
Only by modified Switch from hereIs there any way to output HDMI/DP from the switch, without going into docked mode? So that I can record the gameplay while playing in handheld mode?
His shop is confirmed to be shutdown from bankruptcy. Its illegal to modify consoles in Japan honestly tho the OP is better off with a console capture card since Katsukity' prices are expensive.Only by modified Switch from here

For now shop is closed. You need to wait (I don't know if it's something regular).
True but if your playing home then it might aswell be docked the OP just wants to make videos with his switch. Being able to stream undocked isn't an option anymore until someone elseBut capture card can't capture video from undocked mode.
F.e. no support from manufacturer of hardware and software? It's not hard to think.I don't know what kind of limitations there might be

That's why comparising to phones is stupid. We don't have that much advanced tools to do it. People are working in reverse engineering to brings as much is possible to homebrew dev scene as possible.
