Nintendo announces mobile Dr. Mario game, Dr. Mario World

Nintendo has announced that a new Dr. Mario title, 'Dr. Mario World', will be coming to mobile devices later this year. This announcement comes with the news that Nintendo has established a partnership with LINE Corporation. LINE is known for publishing the game 'Cookie Run', as well as numerous mobile applications.

The application will be free-to-play, with optional in-app purchases. It is planned to release on iOS and Android in early Summer.

I'm honestly surprised for that release of Dr. Mario. Especially with a partnership with LINE.

That said, not being my favorite puzzle game, I'll sadly pass this one, and still wait for Mario Kart Tour.

Like the other Nintendo games, it will probably not work without an active internet connection or if you have root, xposed, privacy guard or anything else installed that prevents them from getting full access to your phone. They own the hardware stack for the Switch, DS, etc., but it is not ok for them to own my phone. It's not a game console, it's a multi-function portable computer, and I use it for far to many things to sacrifice it all to play some dumbed down version of Mario.

If Steam refused to run if you had any accounts with admin access on Windows it would have flopped, but when it comes to phones, people just let companies walk all over us. There are a lot more of us than Nintendo thinks, but since we don't share our data they don't know that. Remember when Pokemon Go stopped being popular? It was exactly when they banned people with root, which didn't even stop cheating since there were still ways to spoof GPS. Remember how Mario Run didn't meet expectations? Maybe piracy would have had less of an impact than, you know, not letting people who want your games actually be able to BUY THEM!

Great we will see dull Mario insert activity games.

Hey Nintendo as mobile market is new to you, how about make something new and not your same old recycled shit.

Who even calls Nintendo innovative when its games is the same shit recycled.

And yes it's as bad as fifa, cod, assassins creed other than these minus fifa have a completely different story, it's only its genre that's the same.

Thumb down. I dont approve Nintendo mobile at all. Nintendo should stick with Nintendo system.. No mobile at all. I dont liked mobile version of Nintendo games at all. Nah.

You can easily bypass root checks with Magisk.

While XPosed Edge was always rather simple to use.. Magisk seems to be annoying.

Does this *method* really work with most root checks ? Most root cloaks I've tried sofar seemed worthless...

It works with all of them save Samsung KNOX as far as I can tell. And it's pretty simple to use, install it like any other root and enable a few options for hiding root.

This is a really good idea. Puzzle games make perfect sense on mobile, where you often just want something to play for a few minutes while you're on the bus or waiting for something/someone.

You can easily bypass root checks with Magisk.

I'd play that. Generally puzzle games aren't my thing, but Tetris Attack, Puyo Puyo and Bubble Bobble are some notable exceptions to that. There are already a million Bubble Bobble clones on mobile, but last time I checked there wasn't an exact clone of Puyo Puyo or Tetris Attack.

And how has Nintendo done in the mobile market so far? Not that good if you ask me.
