Can i use Wup Installer without a touchscreen? My gamepad works, but cant use the touch screen. Is it doable? (cant test for now)

As far as I remember you can. Otherwise use WUP Installer mod which is text based.

Hey!
I'm new on this forum and I litteraly didn't know where I have to ask for help.
I have a problem with WUP Installer GX2.
I have downloaded Just Dance 2018 from Wii USB Helper and I have tried to install it. It was good but at the end, it crashed. So I have delete my game and try with a dump found on Internet. Now, on WUP, it just stay at 0/0 but don't crash. But with WUP y mod it gives me this error code:0xfffcffe9.
So I have followed some tutorials: I have formatted my SD Card to 32kb, I have verified if it was in FAT32 and in MBR...
And now, I don't know what to do..

I just wanted to confirm that's normal or if something is going on. It's making progress, but over an 8 hour period is at like 67% of the first file, still hasn't touched DLC or update. (Game is Xenochronicles. Using an old 2 Tb drive in a powered Amazon basics dock due to the low power USB ports)

Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Sorry if this is necro, but it is probably related to the speed of your SD card.

Can i install games to my USB on my Wii U, then take that USB and put it on my brothers Wii U? Would the games i installed there from my Wii U work?

I have problems using the current version to inject the Wii version of Family Ski & Snowboard [RYKPAF]. Many other Wii games worked without problems, using Cold boot Haxchi & WUP Installer GX2. Unsually only use default settings in the injector.

Injecting [RYKPAF] ends up with damaged data on USB, can be deleted but won't run. Is there anything I can try or is it known, that some games can not be injected?

With this program, no. You can install games on sd card using loadline gx2. Overall wup installer gx2 is the better option to use.

Hi! I left WUP Installer on its own with a list of 30 games to install, when I returned the Wii U was turned off with only five games installed. I have the 1 hour auto power off enabled, but I thought the installer (I have GX2) would temporarily disable it.

Are installations permanently tied to the physical drive via some kind of hardware ID?

I'd like to move my game drive to a different USB enclosure, but not if it means having to re-install all titles.

The other enclosure uses a slightly different JMicron chipset version which Wii U probably sees as a different device with a different ID, and I was thinking it probably won't like that.

Because even just swapping to a different USB port causes Wii U Sysmenu to destroy all my game groups which takes me half an hour to reconstruct!

Well curiosity got the better and it seems to have worked. Only tested a couple games though... there could potentially be games that check the device ID or something. Game groups were all preserved thankfully.

you can connect several USB Storage devices and transfer/copy content from one to another. New USB will work perfectly without any issues

You need to use a Y-cable for the USB drive!

This needs to not be used as a solution suggestion anymore. I see it all the time and it is not relevant. I used a 4 port powered USB HUB connected to my Wii U, in that HUB I have a 2TB HDD, the Wii Speak Mic and the USB to GC control box. Everything works just fine. There are other methods to powering an external drive. The Y cable is not the only solution.

The only issue I have found is with the Skylanders portal. Sometimes it will cause apps to freeze.
