Well, I have an explanation about why Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas never launched for Wii, the sandbox game of Rockstar Games never released its game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas for the revolutionary console of Nintendo, Wii.

Since the game was released for PlayStation 2 and Xbox but not for Wii, maybe because Nintendo does not want Mature Games in their consoles, it will be that the Wii is dedicated to children and relatives, since Rockstar declared this or know that there is a parental control in that console or it will be that they seek the maximum potential in their games, although Nintendo is a step back in technology.

Discuss and explain the reasons why Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas was never launched for Wii.

Controller probably not the most suitable to the game. It is basically a 0% odds that Nintendo is at (direct) fault here. Maybe Rockstar didn't think it would sell well. Probably because they thought owners of the Wii generally were more casual players, and at the time the stereotype of Nintendo consoles being for kids was still quite rampant which probably didn't help.

Tl;dr just please stop accusing Nintendo of keeping mature games of their systems. They did at some point in the past, but just haven't since N64 days, think mature N64 games like conquers bad fur day and goldeneye, and though still quite kid friendly Majara's Mask a first party title for the N64 had some dark and more mature themes throughout.

Bully and Manhunt were great games. Scarface by sierra wasan open world game similar to GTA, but bit better IMHO.
There is another game similar to GTA called The Godfather: Blackhand Edition, created by Electronic Arts, which is based mainly on the movie The Godfather of 1972, quite drinkable and quite obsolete.

The second game that came out for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 was a commercial failure. In North America, at the end of April, the Xbox 360 version had sold 155,000 units and the PlayStation 3 version, 91,000. After the bad critical and commercial reception of the game, EA announced that they had abandoned the plans to adapt the third movie of The Godfather, which was going to be launched in 2012 for Microsoft Windows and Wii U, later in 2013, on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, if the third game had been launched for these platforms the Wii U would have good sales and the Wii U would be alive with us, selling around 200 million units sold.

There is another called Driver: San Francisco, which has nothing to do with GTA, because the player can not get off the car, rather it is a racing game created by Ubisoft, a bad game I do not like.

Are there more games similar to GTA for Wii?

It had nothing to do with Nintendo not wanting mature titles on their platform. It had everything to do with Rockstar not porting it since the game came out during the GameCube era and GameCube discs don't hold as much data as PlayStation 2 and Xbox discs do. The Wii came out later and so did the game Bully. It could have to do more with timing of release since they didn't really start doing ports of San Andreas until more recently (i.e. iOS port). By that time the Wii U was out and they probably didn't want to port a game to a failing console, sales-wise.

Some games were released on the gamecube & wii that were not really aimed at nintendo's target market.
If you were producing a game on xbox and ps2 then you might take a punt if it was easy.

As soon as you had to retool, or even if there was a tricky bug that looked like it was going to take ages to track down then it would just not happen

I would say space. As much as I love the Wii, it chugged along just a bit better than a microwave.

2. Table tennis
3. Manhunt 2
You guys released San Andreas on the game cube, so anyone interested can still play it on the Wii using a game cube controller. I don't see what people are complaining about here. Jailbroken the Wii was the ultimate Nintendo. And Love Rockstar's work! I've been playing Grand Theft Auto since the first one came out! Always sad to reach the end of the story line!

They stopped complaining about it in September of 2019, some sixteen months ago. Why necrothread this?
