First off, any lucky mf'rs already have this glorious beast?! Second.. where have you found to be more efficient to chain? Rock tunnel or route 3-4? I have my shiny charm and know to get a 31 chain going. Charmanders just so elusive! Lol i need my shiny charizard! Thanks y'all.

The easiest way, if you also play Go and have a few Charmander laying around (around 10-11 at least) is to start the chain in the Go Park so that they will show up more often in the wild. Once you get them to start showing more consistently then move to your desired hunting spot and keep the chain going until 31.
Remember that a lure also increases rare spawns so using one in the wild will help them show up and make it faster. Plus it also helps increase shiny odds.

Ouuuu very helpful! I didn't know catching in the go park would count as a part of a chain. Thank you!

How do I know if my switch is hackable or not? Kinda freaks me out tho.. is there any way this can damage my switch at all?

I have one, however it came from Pokemon Go.

If you play Pokemon Go turn up at one of the community days with your Switch and offer to give people a mystery box, some people will have loads of spare shinies from past Gen 1 community day events on Pokemon Go.

I always told people i didn't care what they gave me as I was happy to help them out getting some Meltan, however a few people i'd got to know from past days community days gave me a shiny Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle and Pikachu between them which was really nice.

Good luck on the shiny hunt! people say chaining shinies on Let's Go is the easiest Pokemon game to do it in yet, however I'm yet to manage it on anything I try lol.

It's definitely easy, but so was every pokemon game ever. It's just fun to train up and complete your dex etcetc.. Beat the game bro! Lol

Chaining for a week like depicted above ... thats not even grinding anymore ... but fun? Really?
Liked the game but that's no fun mechanism at all.

It definitely wasn't fun haha I won't lie... BUT it was certainly worth the excitement of a shiny charizard spawning in the wild and the sense of accomplishment I felt after finally catching it. I probably overreacted, in all honesty. I'm just glad I wasn't streaming lmao. I definitely like the idea of trading with someone who does have a hacked switch but I wouldnt trust myself to have my own hacked. Thanks for all your tips and advice friends!!

I don't necessarily mean that the grinding itself is fun, but that overall you got some enjoyment out of the experience. The fun is the end result of the grinding not exactly that the grinding is fun in itself. And you don't get that when you cheat because when you put in zero effort it doesn't feel rewarding. It's like playing Mario Kart but all you have to do is hold the A button and you automatically win. It takes out all the excitement.

Nah having done everything else except for that ... Im ok with that really. A game has to remain fun enough and reward you for the time you put in. When I was younger I might have cared less really ... but now that im 33 and all .. my time in gaming should be somewhat rewarding and even a 'grind' should still be some what realistic. If not and there are other means ... meh sure (PS in pokemon getting shinies is not a requirement, it does not yield anything ... but bragging rights perhaps ;)

A week of roughly 4 hours a day ... is simply not worth it to me.

Not knocking on the effort... but the mechanic just should have been more enjoyable.
