XorTroll has not posted a working NSP dumper. And none of his code was used. The method to dump the NSP's is actually pretty different, which would be apparent if you actually tried both methods :)

ensure all of the XCI's on your USBHDD have [titleid] in the filename, so it does not have to do a slow deep scan for the title id.
Does that actually speed up the scanning? Maybe like half of all my games have title id in name other half don't ... so i dont think it matters because if I put 40 XCI in the folder where half of it has title id.. should be able to parse eventually.. but it doesn't..?

ok. what's the quickest way to put tittleid's on the name of a lot of files at once? do you trust apps like switch backup manager? I think that has a rename option but I'm afraid to use it since it has positive scans on virus total.

I cant vouch for any apps safety, I just know that switch backup manager will rename them. It hasnt been an issue I have encountered since I always ensure my XCI's have [titleid] in the name.

It speeds up scanning significantly. How much time it saves, depends on how many XCI's you have that dont have the title id. If you have 20+ the difference will be significant.

SX Installer does not install XCI's, I think you are confusing it with the normal rom menu sx installer.

Or place all XCIs/ NSPs to unscanned folders and use File Browser to mount/ manage them.

This also works :)

Okay. well i have like 600 XCI lol so yeah it should be significant
This is an example how one folder looks for me with some games:
http://prntscr.com/m5xhl3

Does it matter how the title id is in the filename? Like at the front back or with special notation marks?
Or just pure numbers no matter where it is.

it scans the filename for [titleid] doesnt matter where it is, as long as its somehwere in the filename. make sure there are no spaces or any other characters inside of the brackets.

Does this also count for the normal SX OS album way of opening games? or only sx installer?

Install custom XCI with DLCs works using rommenu sx installer (album). A notice nag will ask to download something when running the installed game. Just ignore it. DLCs should work just fine.

Why I ask is because Switch backup manager names file like this:
0100000000010000 - Super Mario Odyssey.xci
No brackets..

yeah but I don't like how the installer reads your xci's when I have no intention of installing them. Just makes it harder to install the nsps updates/dlc.

how long have you been using switch backup manager? have you had any issues with it?

In general? yeah tons of issues. lots of XCI not detected. or if they are sometimes you need to try to add them twice. best to do it manual one by one

To add to the frustration I get license not found when I have exited the app.

It happened to me too, after that i exited to the home menu and got an error screen telling me to turn it off.

After starting the switch again, my licence where find and everything worked.

As i recall it happened when i closed the installing screen and trying to move between the menus. (i'm not touching anything while installing again).

Its a little buggy.. I get the "no license found" error as well. I will skip this version and keep 1.1 for now

Wish this ran in non-SX CFW. SX OS is a bit buggy - see the stupid 'turn offline mode on to play ToV' bug and such.

This is problem with people using both 90DNS and Stealth mode -- If you disable 90DNS and have Stealth mode on ToV works fine with no online logging. -- Having both on, it will crash.

Can we ignore required FW version while installing NSP or XCI files? To me, this is the only feature that really matters.
Are you smoking too much pot? You’ve asked the same question several times all on different updates. So yes, it will ignore firmware requirement most installers do unless it gives this as an option.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I’ve noticed it still doesn’t delete properly after install. Yes it does delete your nsp but still shows the nsp within the menu unless you go back out of the app and back in again.
