TX Presents SX OS v2.5.1 BETA - Happy New Year!

!!! Happy New Xecuter Year SX 2019 !!!
SXOS251.jpg

Team-Xecuter is off to a fresh start with the New Year 2019, first they upgraded their outdated forums and launched their brand-new TX Community to give better customer support for their growing line-up of products, and now they cranked out a new SX OS v2.5.1 BETA for all those to enjoy with much needed 'bug fixes' and improved LAN-Play support, and they even had time to throw in new 'SX OS Feature' for everyone to enjoy, so check it out below, and start out the New Year Switch Happy! :)
Happy New Year, everybody!

We hope you've all had a smooth transition into the year 2019. Your friends from Team-Xecuter would like to kick off the new year with a small update to SX OS.

Lets waste no time and see what's new in 2.5.1:

  • LayeredFS compatibility fixes
It appears we introduced a regression in "LayeredFS" support in 2.5.0. This affected certain game mods like fan translations. This has been tracked down and fixed!
  • Improved Internet Local Wireless Play
Numerous stability fixes and improvements have been made to the Internet Local Wireless Play functionality.
  • Fixed false positive 'corrupted' message for installer
The Switch software management menu has an option for verifying the integrity of installed titles. When using this functionality with titles that have been installed through our NSP installer you would always get a message saying the title data is corrupt. This was mostly a false positive as the installed titles worked fine.. but we've hunted down the root cause of this and fixed this cosmetic shortcoming for all new installs!
  • Add support for installing XCI
You read it right, as of now you can also *install* titles that come in XCI format, just as you would be able to do for any content that comes in NSP format. This is useful for people who would like to access all of their games from the home menu screen instead of going through our menu. Of course you can still play XCI titles without installing as well!
That's it for today. The year is still young. Hang in there to see what we are cooking up in our labs!
(As usual, please remember all of TX latest releases & apps, can be found on their SX Portal website)

Guys at the least you should be supporting me not trying to belittle me I’m trying to make a point here to Nintendo that they cannot go banning consoles without at least a very good reason for the ban, no reason given to me rings bells in my mind that they are trying to hide something. As far as pirate software goes no your wrong all my games are bought and have original certificates I never used a pirate game online once I used a “backup” online several times which to me nothings wrong. I own those games & console and I have a right to do what I wish with it unless I am flaunting the law and it’s theft or selling for profit. Anyway I’m going to have a crack at it whether you support me or not I’m not bothered but to me it’s unreasonable and unfair and without justification to back it up in my terms that’s wrong.
And that's where you're wrong.
By using the console you accepted the EULA. Which specifically state that you're not allowed to use any kind of hack or circumventing software. Whether your "backup" is legit or not is irrelevant as you need to hack the console to use it. Since from your own admission you used it you broke the EULA which gives Nintendo justification to ban you.
The same EULA also states they don't have to justify their decision.
You only have a case if you never, ever used any kind of hack on your console.

EULAs are not enforcable if it's not allowed by law. For example Nintendo could state in their EULA you must sacrifice your firstborn to play with a Switch. But that's not enforcable because that part would be illegal.

As a consumer you have rights which are protected by law which not even a EULA can remove from you.

While true, this thread has obviously derailed in multiple paths.

Anyways, as far as Nintendo allowing online play access, they can and will legally ban any and every console they so wish from -their- online servers. No law will protect any of us from that.

They could decide tomorrow that they want to ban 28 of us for having green hair, and theres not a single thing we could do about it. Sure, we could -start- a lawsuit, but it would be dead in the water and pointless. I know you already know this but clearly theres throngs here who don't.

That admission was to you guys only, you don’t honestly think that I have made a full admission to Nintendo about all of this? That’s a tad bit different, they would have to prove that is the case in my position. Yes the user above is right this thread is getting derailed let’s just move on.

LayeredFS is still broken.
XSOS 2.5.1 EmuNAND 6.0.2 SysNAND 4.1
Tested NES Online Mod, none extra game is working (app force close) stock games working fine.

Forget it, the issue was my games mod.
SXOS 2.5.1 works like a charm.

Bug: Installing + deleting split NSP can crash the switch.

Install Split NSP>Select yes to delete installation files>Homebrew apps start to show in the "installer" tab, when this happens;
Pressing HOME button prevents crash. Pressing anything else will crash.

6.2, sx 2.5.1, Fat32
Happens when installing to either SD and NAND.

NON-split NSP install fine, seems like split XCI are having install issues as well, haven't gone too deep into it yet.

I just created a fresh EmuNand on hidden partition, but in the TX main menu the EmuNand is always set to disabled above the Launch CFW button. Cannot enable it. Anyone knows how to fix this?

How does one use the network features if not trying to go online?
you need to be specific about "features", but the first step is to configure your switch's wireless to use a DNS that blocks (hides) Nintendo servers. This is so you 1) don't download FW updates and 2) don't send info about your console to Nintendo's servers. If you Google "switch DNS", the 4th link tells you all you need to know.

Do you have a valid license?

Use a free windows program called SD formatter to wipe your card, and resize it back to it's original size (this will wipe the partition data). Then create your emunand again, as clearly somethings gone wrong.

Ok I found the cause of the problem. Something is wrong with my generated license file. Although on the activation page I get a success message when uploading my license-request.dat and can download a license file, my Switch reports that the license is not valid for my Switch. What can I do now? Is this a known issue?

I've had that when I tried to activate my license that was already activated for another Switch (I was trying to see if that worked just once lol). Well it doesn't because it gives you the license for the first activated Switch

the vram is one advantage when it comes to AI but ends up being slower even with that and really AI is the only use case that needs more than 12gb vram right now

    Interesting lol

I think I watched a video where two games at 4K where eating just over 16GB of RAM and it's the one case where the 7900XT and XTX pulled ahead (minus RTX of course)
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So my opinion is that they could age a bit better in the future, and maybe AMD will continue improving them via drivers like they tend to do. No guarantee there but they have done it in the past. Just a feeling I have.

cyberpunk at 4k without DLSS/fidelityfx *might* exceed 12gb

but that game barely runs at native 4k
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think it was some newer games and probably poorly optimized PS4 or PS5 ports
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
they definitely will age better but i feel dlss might outweigh that since it looks about as good as native resolution and much less demanding

AMD could introduce something comparable to DLSS but nvidia's got a lot more experience with that

least amd 7xxx has tensor cores which the previous generations didn't so there is the potential for AI upscaling

They have FSR or whatever it's called and yeah it's still not great

so AMD seem to finally be starting to take AI seriously

Oh yeah those new 8000 CPUs have AI cores built in that's interesting

Would be kinda cool to have the CPU and GPU working in random more

    Tandem even
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i think i heard of that, it's a good idea, shouldn't need a dedicated GPU just to run a LLM or video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the nvidia shield tv has AI video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
LLMs can be run on cpu anyway but it's quite slow

I had a girlfriend who had a twin sister and they would mess with me constantly.... Until one chipped a tooth then finally I could tell them apart.... Lol

They would have the same hair style the same clothes everything... Really messed with my head lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
@The Real Jdbye, I could see AMD trying to pull off the CPU GPU tandem thing, would be a way to maybe close the gap a bit with Nvidia. Plus it would kinda put Nvidia at a future disadvantage since Nvidia can't make X86/64 CPUs? Intel and AMD licensing issues... I wonder how much that has held back innovation.
